oh my gosh guys, not everything is a retool:p . Hot Rod is a totally unique new mold, he's not a made from Blurr or Hardhead. I feel like the boards have some sort of remold PTSD from Combiner Wars... :lol

i mean, Hardhead, i'm not sure where one would get that, but even Blurr: shoulders are a different shape, work differently and form a different part of the vehicle and integrate into the vehicle in a different manner. They may have a similar attachment mechanisms, but totally different engineering as Hot Rods should collapse upwards and Blurrs go downwards.

The pictures of fortress maximus...which version is that? The sdcc one? The box looks the same style as the sdcc devastator version

Kinda neat how they apparently had a grey proto Bumblebee there. Grey proto Legends are unusual.

I don't think Hot Rod is a retool of anybody, but those shins sure do remind me of Cyclonus...

It's a radio tower mode with guns on top and a wolf head guarding the entrance.

My point wasn't that he is a Blurr retool but that he couldn't be a Hardhead retool due having the the same shoulder struts as Blurr.

The waist and shoulder armor rotation does give him more options to mess around with. Plus, should you ever get tired of Hexy you can always use him as a throne for the real Sixshot :D
    [IMG]

Sorry for the off-topic posts with Hexy though guys. This one will be my last on the subject :p

    Sixshot looks good.

I'm going to pass though since I've had Hexatron all these years and I'm happy with him.

I wish these weren't all Headmasters though. I liked the concept for a small amount of characters, not for a whole mess of them to have the concept.

I feel for the next generation of collectors trying to find a complete figure, head and all. :lol

I should have used more words to get my point across. Just hate typing on my phone.

And yeah, a little parts reuse and everyone thinks everything is a remold of an earlier figure. BUT...I suppose CW had a part in this line of thinking.

Thus far, we've now seen Titan Masters Fangry, Squeezeplay, Horribull, Apeface, Siren, and Nightbeat. All heads with no bodies yet.

So in my ideal world, I'm hoping TakaraTomy creates Deluxe-class bodies for all of the above remaining G1 Headmasters -- as well as Hosehead and Snapdragon -- and releases them all in the coming year (although I guess Apeface and Snapdragon might need to be Voyager-class to accommodate their being triple-changers.)

I also wouldn't be adverse to Grotusque and Repugnus joining the rumored Doublecross as upcoming releases, Headmasters or not.

And then at that point, if there is a deity or two in the heavens above, they'll pave the way for some of these monster molds to be retooled into a proper Unite Warriors Abominus!!!

And in an even more perfect world, they'll reissue all the MP cars with QC issues fixed, accurate paint, for 5.00 in every nation's currency!

Now that we're past the wishlisting portion of this, I'd say that certain bots could get a recolor of previous bots and a simple head swap will get the desired effect. Skullcruncher in Squeezeplay's colors, Weirdwolf OR Mindwipe in Fangry's colors, and a slight remold of Weirdwolf with bull attributes for Terri-Bull. The Autobots would be trickier, but doable.

I am hopelessly behind on all of the convention news but FINALLY, KICKBACK! My favorite bug. Rodi looks great too, and Sixshot. So much to catch up on.

I thought I'd get all the news by attending TFcon and SDCC, but without hitting every panel, you guys got more just by reading haha.

If they're packing Go-Shooter in with Wheelie, I doubt TT will bother making brand new figures for all the heads.

No, it's not. It's because Hasbro is too lazy and cost-minded. Most of us would gladly pay an extra couple dollars for better colors and molds.

Glad the interview cleared some of the questions people were asking. There's also the matter of USA stores from what I know so far keep count of how many paint and parts a toy has thus making Hasbro have to make sure the make each figure fit within that. Japanese stores don't have that system thus are able to get away with more paint and stuff as a result. If there's anything I got wrong let me know.

Problem is not everyone is able to pay that much nor are most of them willing to. Like how not every fan are able to buy 3rd party products or even like them at all. If anything that'll only alienate people which would hurt sales. Not every figure turns out perfect obviously but there's a difference between being "lazy and cost minded" and being realistic with how they do toys nowadays.
