I am also curious to see if they will retool Megatron's mold into Blitzwing, and maybe have the original mold either stay as Megatron or become "Headmaster" Megaplex. Which, either way, I am calling out the fact that they will retool Alpha Trion into Grand Lio Convoy. Just because of "Arms Micron" Leo Prime's bio.

My personal hope is that TakaraTomy will be smart and retool Silverbolt into Leozack. Just because they are keeping things precise with their JG1 content.

But on transmissions Twitter a question was asked about Megatron's mold into blitzwing.

" This was just reveled at sdcc but we've known about this for a while catch this Friday's episode for more info."

So they could mean they know something about blitzwing or there just talking about Megatron's.

However the response leads to the latter or at least I think so

 

The Titan Master that comes with Alpha Trion is molded to look like Mini-Con Safeguard that came with Cybertron Vector Prime, so I'm calling Alpha Trion as Vector Prime.

As for Megatron becoming Blitzwing, it's likely.

I honeslty hope we get a Starscream remold from this. I'd biy it an devery other repaint it would get. It would be a little weird having Megatron be so close to a seeker though. Then again, Galvatronus was designed with Starscream in mind so who knows.

 

And they've already made a head mold for it.

 

Yeah, and they called the head Skytread. Not sure if they means they don't have the name, or if Skytread is the partner for Flywheels.

 

Considering all of the individual Titanmasters are given their reapective names, I'd say that they could only aquire Skytread.

 

Then why is the Grimlock head called Clobber? We just don't know yet...

 

I'd assumed it's because og RID Grimlock. The same reason we got TR Stripes and not Steeljaw.

 

I've been worrying lately that they might not do Blitzwing at all.

My only reason is that the repaint of legends Bee is rumored to be Chase, not Cliffjumper. Chase is a red car, they won't bother to do 2 red repaints.

Maybe Hasbro wants to go with other characters, maybe Megatron get repainted into Flywheels instead???

Ill take any repaints of that fine mold though.

as per Megatron.... maybe they plan on using the mold 3 times, I think it has too many Blitzwing components to assume a single Flywheels repaint.

 

So I've been able to catch this week's episode and can give a brief rundown of its contents.

First as I said earlier about their response to the Megatron mold question.

And I'm sorry and was wrong about the meaning of their words

There's still a company wide tight lip seal and there's no new info

However they do talk about Megatron's redeco potential
As well as run down sdcc and the reveals. And the surprise about new Titan Master's

Thats it for this week they do comment on how their source will mabey they hope come out off hiding after all the major events pass by.

 

I'm not too fussed about the names changing or remaining the same (though at the end of the day it was good to see that between Hasbro and Takara, one of them could afford to spell "Grapple" properly haha). For me, the main question, which came to mind when Nightbeat and co were revealed to be Titan Masters, is if we would end up with potentially some heads being sold to us twice as the same character, the latter sold with their Deluxe, Voyager or Leader body.

Given his uncomfortable grimace, TM Nightbeat might be a bad example, if he gets a TR Deluxe with a new face, I won't be fussed, and I say that as someone who doesn't mind United Kup's face. My question is definitely fitting for TM Skytread possibly being used again on a fully realized figure; that - to me - is a great head sculpt.

Recently on this thread I've discussed with others the sort of complexity TR Megatron would need to get the cockpit on the chest while leaving the turret on the back, and Blot rightly pointed out that going by the traditional designs, Blitzwing wouldn't need it. However - at least so far - Flywheels does have that configuration. Of course if the TR Megatron torso can't flip around like this, the lack of Flywheels from T30/TG Blitzwing seems like an even bigger missed opportunity, though that won't advance the discussion anymore per se, and we know that mostly great mold had it's Achilles heel/shoulder.

Of course that mold was retooled into Doubledealer, but with the swathe of figures listed on the Transmissions Podcast thread's front page -with many confirmed - I wonder if even he might get a new figure, perhaps with a mold more tailored to him, sooner or later. Incidentally, has everything of note from those podcasts been collated on page one or do I have to go trawling for more recent information? haha

Lots of things seem like good possibilities, at least until we get more of those figures revealed. Topspin and Twin Twist, for example, each loosely share an alt-mode with TR Megatron, but hopefully Hasbro wouldn't be cheeky enough retool this as a a drill tank with a jet mode as one of them, and have us buy the Titan Master of the other. I'm interested to see how these guys, and the clones turn out. And after seeing Doublecross, I'm also curious to see if we get more Monsterbots (having had Repugnus since my first few years of school), and if they might get retooled into the Decepticon Headmaster Junior characters.

 

It would be awesome if we would get all these rumored characters, but i hope Hasbro will give priority to the Master-characters.
This line should at least have the Horrorcons, junior Headmasters and Targetmasters.
And if a guy from a team like Doublecross or Triggerhappy gets a toy i hope we get toys of every teammember.
CW was very good to us that way (for obvious reasons offcourse) i hope they dont go back to the randomness (allthough that too had its reasons) of thrilling thirties.

 

Hasbro? Surprisingly enough, I will not rule either one of them out. Just because it turns out that they used Scourge to make Highbrow.

If you are referencing TakaraTomy... I have to disagree. Just because Chase's alt-mode was a Ferrari. Bumblebee's upcoming alt-mode resembles a more modern version of Cliffjumper's.

But we shall see.

Seeing how Flywheels was a Duocon, my guess is that he will be part of the currently rumored "Titans Unite" line. And only because I do not think Hasbro is arrogant enough to dismiss that gimmick.

 

If you insist, even though I think that if they use Vector Prime with that mold, he will receive the "LG EX" treatment. Just because he was already used in Kiss Players, Beast Wars Reborn, and Alternity. Plus, they could have him coincide with "Beast Wars Reborn" Convoy in terms of patching up that story.

However, I do insist that you also remember that TakaraTomy chose to do a heavy retooling of Powermaster Optimus Prime just to make Super Ginrai. Which has me believe they will do that again for Lio Convoy, and do it as a means of having him return to the JG1 continuity.

Also I can't think of a better time to introduce Gijoes into transformers. Imagine a deluxe Hiss Tank, with a Cobra Commander Head Master....
