I'm just here to echo sound advice.

 

What I really am happy with is they go back to their older toys, then give you new heads for them with the up coming Grimlock  

 

So is anyone thinking this will be painted like Ironhide and Rathchet or are we going to see a lot of bare plastic like Ultra Magnus and Star Sabre? Paint would be great but I doubt we'll be that lucky.

 

I would adore some type of glossy clear-coat over the white plastic, ala MP-06 Skywarp (not Hasbro version).

Paint may chip, but a good glossy clear-coat could make all the difference.

Yes, yes this! Borders on neurotic for me. Bought two Kronos because of this fear. Have a mint in box g1 jetfire
Turned around and vacuum sealed and stored where it's darkest and driest for no good reason at all other than piece of mind. Certain Phoenix will get the same treatment

 

A clear does wonders on any plastic !!! I say this instead of painted color !!!
But I wouldn't complain either way !!!

I think it will be bare plastic, but a clear coat or paint would be amazing. Baring that, I hope they go for a plastic that has a very slight tint rather than plain, bright, bright white.

Unpainted white plastic looks cheap.

 

I say bare white plastic for sure. Paint chips and scuffs easy. White bare plastic with some good clear coating.

 

I would love at least legends to fit. We need a cargo bay

 

Just when I thought I was done with 3P, FansToys keeps pulling me back in! Just, damn. This guy looks way too good to pass up on, and I'm not even that big of a Skyfire fan! I have my original G1 Jetfire figure, but to me JF and SF are two separate characters. It would be neat if FT did include an additional JF head to swap out, but it's not that necessary to me since the body and alt mode are still that of SF. It appears as though they are going with the faction symbol spinning gimmick, which is really clever on their part as it will allow collectors to put Autobot and Decepticon logos on the same time and easily switch between the two depending on how you want him displayed. And having owned nearly all of FansToys previous offerings, I can't even argue with the price! He's going to be plenty heavy and solid enough to justify the cost.

Bravo, FansToys. Bravo. You managed to get another $200+ out of me.

Supposedly, Takara is releasing an inch tall Optimus Prime figure with MP Inferno. You could always use that alongside Skyfire's although mode.

 

A panel-lined, battle-damaged version with exhaust trails ala Walscream would be dope AF ... alas, I have the DIYS skills of a 2nd grader

I'll take him as is . I don't need any extra paint apps that aren't supposed to be there , I don't need him told any figures either . His big AF , an looks stunning right outta the gate . Alls I hope for is as little QC ish's as possible , and some diecast used wisely . All of which FT's has is fully capable of doing .
