Man this release is plagued with all sorts of issues. I got a decent one but this isn't at all what I'd expect from an MMC product. They need to get their sh..tuff together before release their Trailbreaker with all sorts of problems or they'll wind up with a less than stellar reputation. In the current market their is too much competition to drop the ball.

 

It's bumpy, but at least the customer care is top notch. Got an email reply within 5 minutes.

I feel like a special snowflake knowing I'm the first (and only?) person who ended up with 2 LEFT hands. CC was wondering where the left ones went, as all the request were for issues with 2 right ones.

 

I have an Omnigonix Sunstreaker with two left left hands. Are they related, lol?

 

Well, my Backdraft is a shit carpenter (there's a badum-tss in there, but you get it, don't make me type so much). CustomerCare guy made no problems and said he'd send me the replacement right away. Dunno about Omnigonix   (I opted for Sunsurge after actually being attracted to 3P by Omnigonix' :x ... horror stories are a turnoff for me, despite the design being so good! anyhoo, this is about BD. Love him. His right hand is just in cannon-mode, which is fine. I'll have the option to show it either way soon, hopefully  )

 

Received Backdraft from TF source this afternoon. Almost perfect, except the pelvic/hip piece not tabbing in at all. Really like the toy head sculpt, too bad the faces weren't interchangeable. I may paint the face a silver color later. Overall this is a great 3p MP figure that stands out in my collection.

 

opened up Backdraft today to check and make sure all parts were present. I have not taken him out of the clamshell yet but this is what I found. Not sure how that got by QC.

Sadly, it's all of these little dumb issues that should never have happened or made it through the QC process. It has definitely put a blemish on MMCs record IMO.

 

Sorry to hear a lot of members are having problems. Mine came in yesterday from bbts and I've had no issues other than in alt mode the back end tends to untab easily. But this thing has so much weight to it, I can understand why a couple small plastic tabs don't hold it.

Oh, I forgot, skullface's review warned about the paint and he was right. My toon face head is really sloppy with overspray on the left side. Like his face melted into his helmet. Easy to touch up if I feel like it.

Still love this one the best so far.

 

It does suck people are having some issues but at least most seem to be cosmetic/tolerances rather than actual breaking parts. Speaking of which, I have noticed some chrome wear on the foot bumpers, something to keep an eye on.

 

Only thing that was an issue on mine is the waist piece not tabbing in, but that is being fixed according to reports.

 

yeah. that kind of sucks.. I hope mine is fine (scheduled for delivery tomorrow). I just kind of trusted MMC's track record.

 

I decided to open him up and transform him. There is a left shoulder piece that is upside down and will not allow the back panel behind the arm to close all the way in bot mode. It does not cause any issues with alt mode. I am impressed with the figure though, This is Inferno.

 

So the first thing I did when I opened him up today was extend the ladder,
And man it's like they took the ladder off my old Inferno, I had a freakin flashback to when I was a kid, wow, just wow. The only noticeable QC is that his left Toe joint is noticeably tighter than his right. And the crotch plate being a bit unwieldy, lol. This is a great figure folks, I can't wait to see how much better Kojin will be.

 

Has anyone had any luck getting Dr. Wu Partners (Sparkplug or Spike) to fit in the cab?
