I haven't seen any pics of him up yet, so here are a few shots of the awesome clear Trash-Talk that was given out to attendees to Maketoy's New Product Convention earlier today at TFcon. I was told that this guy was exclusively limited to this event, and will not be seeing a wider release.






I love clear plastic, totally stoked to add this guy to my collection. Will post more on the actual products tested later (no pics tho).

 

I love their Trashtalk figure, he's an amazing IDW guy. But I don't really understand the point of the clear plastic? It works for Starscream as he died and came back as a ghost. MMC Sphinx is okay because Mirage cloaks himself.
Quakewave clear version and this though? Not sure why.

Just asking. If the answer is "because clear is cool" then so be it.

Essentially. It's just a special bonus item, not meant to have wide appeal.

 

i dont get the appeal of see through transformers. I just don't. To each their own I suppose. Kinda like oversized weapons. *shrug*

I've been looking for one also since they popped up at the last Maketoys New Product Convention in March. Have never seen one for sale.

I think you have to consider how many of them there actually are. If you consider the show in march and the one here that would be about what? maybe 40 pieces? Not so many. Pretty rare item, 3P or not.

The clear is just because clear is cool. You have seen Prime done in clear many times. Why? He has no reason to be done in clear other than clear figures are hella cool.

 

Unless it's hundreds I think anyone selling this would be cutting themselves short.

That being said, I'm NOT huge on clear plastic just because of an experience I had with Nexus Maximus and one of the bots' legs just snapping off, but it's a really nice piece.

 

I'm thinking about getting a clear bandai stand and displaying him floating above the one I have on display shooting his face off with the skull face.. Kinda like a silly grinning ghost floating above himself

 

I guess for the right very high price offer, I would sell mine, but otherwise don't really care for a few dollars for something cool and rare. Always wanted Trash Talk, now I got him in clear, happy  .

 

If anyone's interested, I was able to order a stealth Sphinx from A3U that I'd be willing to trade for a sealed one of these.

 

If anyone is interested, I already have one coming but would like to have 2 copies, one to open, one to get possibly get graded.

Maketoys put it out on their Twitter page during TFCon for guests to ask at the Chosen Prime booth for the meeting. I'm hating it too. I'm going to TFCon Chicago this year or TFCon Canada next year at the least.
