    Finally!

    Two concerns...

The ankylosaurus is still just a proto, which means he's not coming anytime soon, despite the fact that the original preorders said May.

Also, the T-Rex is even bigger than all of the others! No way is it gonna be under $100... Ugh.

Maybe but not necessarily. Mold creation and setup are the expensive parts. The raw amount of vinyl might not be a huge factor in cost. Hopefully.

I'm having some trouble combing dinosan with dinoichi. The square pegs don't seem to go in all the way and are a bit squint. I've made sure there plenty of space and the peg at the back which goes into Dinosan's head isn't interfering. I don't want to force it and break somethint but I would assume the pegs are suppose to go in all the way and not be at an angle?

Can anyone offer advice or post a picture of how the connection should look once combined? Is there a chance the pegs on my dinosan ate backwards? There looks to be a little difference in the sculpt so it could be a factor but I don't think anyone else has mentioned this.

The pictures sort of shows what I mean.

I think there has been a monumental cock up with Dinosan.

So after looking around and watching some videos it seems that most people's Ryu Oh doesn't have a flush connection between Ichi and San. Furthermore after thorough investigation into my own set I could see the current set up just does not work if the two pieces are to sit flush which, judging by pictures from FP does seem to be how it's intended.

The parts just don't go together as they are out of the box. Now.....swap Dinosan's shoulders round so the pegs are reversed and it's a perfect fit. Flush, no mashing together of plastic (with some damage on my copy) and a secure fit. The problem is those pegs are pinned into an arm joint so as it stands the Dino arms cannot fully fold back and peg into the Dino head for combined mode but it's a small price to pay for a combined mode that actually fits together.

Now I'm not saying this is only on my copy as all the pictures of Dinosan have the shoulder pegs such that they fold back for bot and alt mode but this way just does not seem to produce a solid alt mode connection that's not in some way forcing the pieces together. Maybe it is just something I was doing wrong but if you swap the shoulders round (the arms are on mushroom pegs so they can be swapped too for correctly facing fists, watch out for the ratchet tab that sits in the stomach) the fit is just too perfect not to be the intent of the designer.

I got the Brontobot Shell today, and I'd say that I'm a bit disappointed.
I like the 1960ish retro Japanese monster vibe and I'm okay with the price, so that's not an issue. I'm disappointed with the quality.

He is noticeably smaller than the other two shells. The vinyl is visibly thinner and feels thinner in spots, and finally the top part of the shell is either deformed or over sized.

It lines up pretty nice on the front and left side, however the right side really doesn't mesh well and the back simply doesn't match. There is no physical way, even with heating or bending or shaving that you can make the back peg in. I'm hoping this is just an error on my figure and not the norm.

Also, my figure was coated in this blue substance, I mean really coated in it. I'm not sure if it's a mould release agent, a protective substance to prevent against paint rubs since it was in such a tiny box or it was the wash color for the gold/copper parts on the figure.

One other word of advice, the neck, tail and gun post are very difficult to fit in. I think it's another case of the main shell shrinking a bit too much from the prototype or whatever.

I hope this is just a one figure mini-snafu and not the norm going forward due to Fansproject just pushing these figures out to get it done already do to a smaller fan reception than they were expecting.

I like this set, and once completed it will make a nice little display. Even though I would buy a better set of robots if someone were to make a better set, I can't see someone doing shells this size as they easily fit in with the MP scale. Even if someone were to make better shells, I still think this set is a keeper regardless.

However everyone is correct in saying these are far overpriced. I think they are worth 60% of what they are being sold for. With that said, I don't mind a markup for something with a much smaller audience however, with that markup I expect superb quality control and no cutting corners.

On a final note, this shell came with a poster, however only 1 of the 1st two shells came with a poster. Did I not receive one or was this the norm?
