Ankles becoming floppy after a few transforms seems to be the big issue.

I'd also advise being very careful when you're tucking the arms into the chest. Just be patient and take your time, and don't try to force anything. Also watch Paik4life's video, very helpful :thumb

As far as box artwork goes, I think KFC nailed it with Doubledeck aka Twincast. Makes me wish there was a current g1 toon done in this style.

The silver face really captures the essence of the chracter. He somehow helps the rest of the team gel together. Will transform him after a glass of wine and studying the Paik4life video.

I love that plain white chest on Sphynx. Was thinking about that the other day so it's cool to see how well it works.

Love this pic. It's what I hope to have one day - a nice group collage of the Ark crew

With every photo I see of this figure I'm closer and closer to purchasing it.

Thoughts and Comments - first off the bat, my piece came with an extremely loose toe tilt on the right foot. But it was immediately fixed with a few turn of the screwdriver.

On to the figure itself - very neat and gorgeous looking Hound. The paint apps were applied competently without any over spray or other splotches. Joints overall were tight but not as scary like them FT dinobots.

I like the accessories alot, it has so may display option.

Transformation - perpetual nightmare at the front section where the head flips out, hands tucked in, the tires needed to be in the right angle for the hands to be flipped out or in. And when you add sleepiness into the mix, it was a frustrating experience.

Thanks to the boards here, and especially to Ruizu's feedback, I was careful in some places and not to overstress some joints.

The legs were easy as pie and was straightforward.

Overall, I am happy with my copy and also luckily for me, I pre ordered another piece from another seller. So I will have multiple display options.

Bottom line is if you are the sort that play with your toys like me, transforming him is definitely a chore. But you are just a fiddle and display person, Willis can be freed from his box and moved abit and left in your detolf forever more, and he looks damn good on the shelves.

Anyone had the floppy pieces on his back next to the windshiel broken?

I barely touched mine, and noticed one of the pieces was cracked at the base near the screw. Was just holding on to a tiny bit of plastic, and when I touched it, it broke...

Used some modelers glue to put it back together, so hopefully it's fixed now....

Otherwise it's gonna be my first warranty case ever... and I have plenty of KFC and X-Transbots stuff.... kinda disappointed about the great FT quality (Quakewave was fine though)

I love the way this figure looks and feels. It reminds me of the MP style of the MP Datsuns and Lambos back at Takara's peak in the MP line but with more heft and accessories. Plus rubber tires is the standard for FT. A true masterpiece this is. I certainly hope we get more carbots from FT....a lot more. I know Hoodlum will be awesome. Look and learn Takara.

I can't stop enjoying this guy. I can't wait to see what they do with Hotrod and Jetfire.

This figure is 10/10, A+. Couldn't ask for better. The tough questions is who to display him with on a Detolf? Anyone care to share their setup?

Mine will display Willis with MP Bumblebee and Arkose a la The Insecticon Syndrome episode.

The Scout/Commando, the Espionage specialist/spy, and Geologist.

If you had Sphinx/Mirage, that would be a definite figure to display him with (More Than Meets The Eye, Part III).

Maybe Bumblebee, Bluestreak and Windcharger/Boost, if you have them, too (The Ultimate Doom, Part II).

No, but I did move them back a little bit to provide more clearance for the shoulders. They seemed like they were designed to swivel a bit? I think maybe yours just had defective pieces.

How's the FT customer service? Any chance they'll send me a new piece? Or is it better to contact the shop first?
