I already thought MMC and XTB's versions were superior. Now they're superior and cheaper. 3P has officially taken over. :cry

Fair enough, though TFS has him listed for the same price, so it isn't just BBTS at this point. I'm certainly not panicking. I'm still debating if I want to get this guy over Dante anyways. Price could have tilted that decision towards this guy...now not so much. I figure Dante will be $100-ish, maybe $120-ish.

I guess I still feel a bit burned seeing Shockwave so cheap now too, which was another figure I really debated whether I wanted to get or not... I'm 99.9% certain Inferno won't sell out and will most likely see deep clearance discounts after release. Let's just say lesson learned.

This is true...surprisingly the US prices on the Vans were much more reasonable than pretty much every other MP release, only about $15 more than import with shipping. I'm still not going to use them as a basis for pricing though, based on pretty much every other price and experience.

Lol...yes, $13 from Japan for 2-3 day shipping is SOO ridiculous compared to $8 from the US that takes 5 days....

Exactly. Sounds very much like what I was expected, and perfectly reasonable.

Yeah, I guess when I say "BBTS" I mean "US store in general" since they all pretty much follow the same pricing, with some $5 cheaper. Man....you really think Dante will be that cheap though, giving how large he is? With Scourge and Cyclonus already in the $150 range? Then again, they could drop the price specifically to be competitive...I kinda wonder if this is why Backdraft is $100 as opposed to $120 or so, think MMC knew of the official coming and wanted a competitive price.

It's the end amount that matters. I've been using Anime Export for all of my MPs and even with your "ridiculous" shipping plus their base price being so affordable, it's still drastically cheaper than using a US-based store.

I'll be preordering Inferno from AE just as soon as they put it up.

Same. Just put in a new preorder for it.

I'm all for going official whenever possible, but this just isn't one of those times.

Shockwave was not worth the price I paid (shipping included) and this guy seems to be around the same size, but for more money.

I think it's great that his ladder folds, I think it's great that they included all of the extra parts, but I just can't part with that kind of money, especially at Christmas time and with a new baby on the way. Heck no.

$100.00 (and nothing to sneer at) MMC for me.

The price in Australia is around 105 USD before shipping. www.premiumcollectables.com.au

That's what pisses me off with regards to US retailers. The Yen has risen against ALL major currencies, not just the USD, but hei, let's screw our customers when we can.

Yeah, it's hard to say with Dante. We don't know what accessories there are and there's some talk of him having LEDs, so that could jack up the price. I don't see them pricing him much above $120 in order to stay reasonably competitive with the other Infernos. If he is $150-ish, then I'll likely stick with Takara.

no he's not. He's supposed to be bigger. Since when were fire trucks the same size as vans? Also in G1, Grapple and Inferno were closer to Prime's size than they were the autovans.

$123.18 shipped, from there. I can do that standing on my head. So, yeah, we're getting screwed here.

Does anyone know how PC's preorder system works?

I should have added "in robot mode" to the end of my post, as robot mode scale rules all (nearly always) with this line.

Any idea when HLJ will start carrying this?

Yes EMS or faster shipping from places like HLJ will erode a good deal of the savings. That's why I've decided to use SAL shipping instead. I'm in no rush.

I would hope so, but my UW Bruticus and HS Prime cost me $70 to ship from AE. Granted this won't be as big, but I'd expect $40 shipping from AE, which brings it to the same price as BBTS...

Edit: I'm not sure how much heavier Inferno will be compared to Ironhide or Thundercracker, but TC is $36 to ship from AE. Ironhide or Ratchet are $26 to ship from AE. Shockwave is $32.

Geez, MPs are gonna price themselves out their own market. I thought overpriced...hate to see how the next regular car bot is priced at.

140 is high for me. I'm not sure about paying that much for a not so popular character.

I would always hear people talk about how 3P MPs are so much more expensive than official TT. That certainly isn't the case here.

So, the price is somewhere between MP Shockwave and MP Ironhide.
Is it only me who thinks that's completely reasonable for the size and number of accessories?

It's not like he's priced like a Seeker.
