Grrr. I'm really having a hard time getting the shoulder fix to work. I have the tab cut out, but it keeps breaking out of the gap after I glue it in and try to insert the ball joint.

You live in a part of the world where PayPal is not dominate. Like China.

    ;)

It was supposed to be a rhetorical question. A joke, a barb, a ribbing. "Taking the piss" etc. I find lots of people aren't sure when I'm joking though. Likely my fault.

I've used Loctite superglue, both alone, and in concert with on different tries Tamiya cement and Plastruct. Part of the problem is, I think, that the receiver part (female part?) for the ball joint isn't optimal. It doesn't cradle the ball joint very securely and I probably push too hard trying to get the ball in tight. I look forward to seeing what Omni the designer (really wish he had a handle to better distinguish him from the company) has done with the 3d printed part, specifically if he made a better female part.

My post sounded like it could be interpreted as sarcasm, but that was never my intent.

Looking at the gun on the car like that, if it were in real life, that gun would be like 3 meters long !!! And probably weight close to 500kg

Super/Krazy glue should work. I used Krazy glue.

The ball is held in by the lip on the front of the female part and really the back is only used to hold the ball in that socket made by the lip. When you're gluing, don't glue the whole contact edge of the piece you're gluing in. Try to only glue the curved part. If you can leave the straight edges on top and bottom unglued that will provide a little give when you're reinserting the ball. It also helps to not break the glue if you reassemble and lightly screw the whole shoulder back together. The back of the shoulder will keep the glued piece from moving much at all. Once the ball is in the socket, there shouldn't be much pressure on the glued in piece so that when you rotate out, it should hold just fine.

It is hard, but have plenty of patience waiting for the glue to dry. If you can leave it overnight, it helps with the impatience. I know, I broke my first shoulder a couple times, once by gluing the whole area, and another by not waiting long enough for the glue to set. Got it 3rd time on the 1st shoulder. By the 2nd shoulder I had learned enough to get it right on the 1st pass.

Also once you're satisfied that the glue is set, try sanding/filing the outside nice and smooth. The shoulder will rotate really smoothly if you do.

You can do it. Patience was the hardest part for me. Good luck.

Thanks. Yeah, I've been trying to glue only on the curve. I glued it again yesterday and haven't touched it since, so hopefully it's getting plenty I of time to set. I'll see later today when I get a chance.

I would still prefer a more secure hold between the male and female part of the ball joint, more of a cup. I look forward to seeing if Omni's prices do that.

You may want to check the top and bottom and even cut them once your glue sets. I think I checked with an Xacto on the 2nd shoulder and it went in like butter and has been care free since.

Finally drilled the wheels. Such a nigh and day difference. I used a 5/64 drill bit. Worked great. Just gotta make sure you hold the drill perpendicular. Messed up a couple of holes.
