Anyone heard anything from Kapow Toys?

Got a bill through PayPay and have paid. Heard nothing else though.

 

Just got my Willis today. What am I suppose to look for in terms of the mirror being fix?

 

Is it die cast now or still plastic?

Unless it's die cast I'm not sure what you would be able to check, from memory they weren't changing the design but rather materials used.

 

Just went and checked it out and its not diecast that's for sure. It feels like a soft plastic, the kind that will have some give. So maybe that would help prevent it from breaking?? But it feels a bit tight so not sure if over time it can shear off or not. The plastic feels like the handlebrake soft plastic used on Generation Wreckgar

Nah, I think within the next two weeks we'll know once people starts receiving theirs.

 

If they didn't fix it, then why the delay?

I'm a bit worried about those mirror's. I have faith they fixed it, but who knows, and are they still fragile. Looking at this figure. I think he is well thought out. He looks so much like his g1 animation then Gundog. And Gundog was good, but this is the right g1 Hound for my collection. I will have mine in a few day's time, so I will see about these mirror's. Hopefully they are pretty durable and make the delay worth it.

Mirrors were fixed and have better plastic.

The original mirrors on mine are still intact and I took it to a show and transformed it 5 or 6 times for the instructions. So the new ones should be even better.

The side mirrors do feel like a different type of plastic than on the rest of the figure, a little softer and more forgiving. The plastic definitely flexes and has some give to it. Unless you really pulled them past their intended points of movement, I don't see this being a repeat of the Forager wing clip debacle.

 

This is definitely reassuring and great news.
