I kinda hope they go the ROTF Wheelie route and we get Deluxe and Legends figures for him. One for scale and one for fun.

I will admit, I like the character. I think he could be pretty fun. But I'm not too keen on them spelling it with a W. Isn't Squeaks good enough? Heck, I'd probably accept Squeeks. But Sqweeks is just pushing it...

Probably a trademark issue, though I don't know who on earth would already own the names Squeaks and Squeeks...

It's partially names that because of trademark issues.
Hasbro only slaps Autobot and Decepticon onto their trademarks when the normal word itself is already taken or not a strong enough trademark.
Brawl, Jazz, Ratchet, Now Sqweeks. Notice the trend?

    This. :lol

(Though, to be quite honest? I hope the toys DO SUCK. I wouldn't mind sitting out a toyline, or two, and saving some cash after the wallet massacre that will be TR! :lol )

YES! :lol  (And let the inappropriate comments begin? :lol  Cause I'd also accept a Shia to ride it. :sly: )
I'm thinking it has more to do with Hasbro lawyers: "Sqweeks" is more trademark-able than a word belonging in the English dictionary. But yeah, this will do wonders for child literacy everywhere. :rolleyes2

In any event, does it even matter? If the character is as stupid as it sounds, calling Jar Jar Binks "Mace Facekiller" does NOT make for a more interesting Jar Jar Binks! ;)

You mean all one of them? Galvatron was the only KSI bot to get a toy and naturally he was labeled a Con for obvious reasons. Lockdown always gets labeled as a con simply because he opposes the Autobots in his line of work, but he wasn't KSI.

Then we'd be making R2D2 comparisons instead of BB-8

    Something involving mice, I presume.

There were other 'Decepticons' in the non-generations AOE lines (which were the main lines as far a Hasbro was concerned): one step Stinger and Steeljaw (not KSI but like Lockdown, not a Decepticon either in the movie), and power battlers Vehicon and Junkheap.

Right. So, shouldn't "Autobot Squeaks" be good? I just don't get the "sqweeks" spelling. Or am I missing something...?

Hey Hasbro, Michael, you're both drunk. Let's put away the goofy juice, and go home, ok??

Anyway, this doesn't even have a fraction of BB-8's cuteness, so I know Hasbro's hoping for a roly-poly cute guy to carry the line, but keep dreaming guys...

Not being passive aggressive here, but can anyone name a Bay bot that would be considered "endearing"? BB-8 is endearing, but I can't think of any character that's come from the movies that could be called that. I hope to be proved wrong and that we have an actual emotional tie to a character, and not just comic relief. Even though I'm a fan of the movies, I find myself lowering my expectations after every one.

If you are meaning bringing back "Human Alliance" toys, then I agree with you.

I'm pretty sure he's talking about this "Sqweeks" in specific. The man knows absolute shit when he sees it.

There's still AoE product on shelves two years after the film's release and the toyline was discontinued?

It's good to see that Scooter can still get work in this day and age.

Yeah, but how does AOE compare to the last three film lines?

Desparation. Haven't you noticed how how Hasbro doesn't have a new cartoon lined up?

Made me chuckle when I read the "dead/live indicator"... has "live", so that's good for 'lil Sqweekers, might be in a 2nd movie. :lol

That's what i am thinking will happen, Bumblebee gets his voice and is more mature, so Sqweeks appeals to the young crowd, while bee is now catering to the teens that were kids in 2007.

If he's cybertronian, fair enough, but the Trademark for "Autobot Sqweeks" could just be a package name for the toy (Like Lockdown was branded a Decepticon in AOE)

I'm still thinking he's a junk bot built by Cade
