The only downside to the os feral rex is being shunned by your collector peers. I have never had any balance issues even with the 3 foot sword in hand. You can literally prop the the hilt on the leg/head area. The cannon Ive had issues with plugging it into the feet I may have assembled it wrong but broke it while trying to separate it. And like myself probably many others here can vouch if you buy the set you will pose them as a team for a week or two they look awesome together, they are not greasy or smell but it is fragile. I broke a thumb off talon the first day tring to plug a weapon in.

 

Yes we all think it's awesome but he's wanting to buy a transformer for his child to play with. You think the kid wants to pose it and leave it alone? I think os feral rex has little play value, it'll break easily and the child will likely be frustrated with the posability. Hell some of us were frustrated by it

 

I dont know what you guys are doing. But the figure stands fine. He can stand straight without any pads, and with some 3m 2242 rubber tape he can stand in dynamic poses.

I had the first run, and my only real issues were the shoulder joint on divebomb and some paint was scratched.

 

I had very few issues with mine as well but not everyone faired as well. How good do you think the QC department at jinbao is?

 

Thanks for the replies, sounds like it's a just a person-to-person QC issue. Some sets are fine, some are loose noodles. Eh, for 100-150 and some superglue/nailpolish I might give it a shot.

And yes, the first ones we picked up were CW Devastator and I've been incredibly happy with his sturdiness and poseability. He's had a blast using him to attack his sister's princess castles and stuff   I also got an Autobot CW set (Defensor) to fight back, but was disappointed with the size discrepancy (never thought I'd say Defensor looks weak and impotent, but there it is).

So yeah, I was wondering if this set would actually be good to go mano-a-mano with Devastator if we forgive them both being 'Cons.

Given that info, is there another team around the same size that might make a sturdy candidate at the same <150 price point? Like a big KO Superion or something?

 

I've got ko os superion too. Both about the same for standing issues

 

I received my upgrade set from Sirtoys yesterday. No claws but that's ok with me. It even came in box. A first for me from Sirtoys.

 

Did u need to call/order from Sirtoys for the upgrade set? I also did the preorder from Sirtoys for the nero OS version, haven't received any upgrade set yet. And I sent an email to his website, no reply either.

 

At first glance I suspected it was the feet. But with rubber pads and just reviewing other posts, I believe mine came with loose hips. I realize I exaggerated my previous post. It does stand but tends to sag

 

I'm genuinely surprised that I didn't break anything installing the upgrades. Anyone want spare Nero Rex parts?

 

I received word from him yesterday that he's doing some work on his site so he can tell who he has sent to. Hasn't sent mine yet either and I ordered first day   Patience

I place an order for the under 20 bucks and my Nero upgrade came with it. I used the coupon code he posted. Ordered June 6. I received it yesterday. China to Canada.

With the old head, the picture doesn't do it justice but he looks less like a chunky monkey and more like a Decepticon

 

I got into it a little with the ebay seller because he said it didn't come with the claws but I told him that the claws were in the pictures when I ordered it and then I would gladly open a case with eBay. The claws are on the way☺

Well I got a shipped message on my order with showzcw and a message from him offering a $5 credit in exchange for positive feedback. I'm gonna be upset if I don't get any claws like what is clearly in the picture.

 

I told him no feedback til everything was in hand. That seemed scammish to me
