Agreed. Like I said, I do like him, but not good enough to order. Now if this had the electronics removed and downsized to maybe around voyager class, then I would definitely be more receptive to ordering him. That upcoming remolded deluxe Prime may be my official Prime for this line. At least his truck mode looks like a truck mode. :)

    +1.

This is like a bad version of Prime Optimus, which had an amazing alt mode. The RID line is clearly aimed at kids, who might not care/notice the bad alt mode. But in general, RID Optimus has one of the funkiest truck modes ever. It was fun as a novelty, but the more they do it, the worse it looks, imo. I completely appreciate the inclusion of the trailer in his alt mode; however, the lack of motion in that trailer (fusing it to the cab) is awful. One step forward, two steps back.

I'm actually impressed. The truck mode is nothing to write home about for sure, but the bot mode is very much how I like my "super Primes" to look. The articulation looks real nice and I like how big he is. Definitely better than the Hasbro version. Not only that, but the Hasbro version goes for $50 while HLJ has the takara for only $62, so not really a huge difference.

Cool pictures I have him and shfiguarts mk.46 Iron Man over in my pile in japan.

One quick question though; I'd this form cartoon accurate in the slightest? I'm only at episode 2 or 3 of season 3 so far. Thnx

Just in case there are one or two others out there, besides yourself, who still have not seen every episode and do not want to be spoiled... :)

Actually this form is never seen in the cartoon. At least not yet. It's unknown if this form may appear in a future season/movie or whatever is planned for NuRID after this.

Robot mode looks amazing and bulky, despite the cheapy hollowish limbs - looks more like a deluxe (in fact, didn't know this was as big as TAV-33).

Altmode is trash, but at least it's painted better than the Hasbro one.

Thanks buddy. I didn't want to have to watch every DVD episode to find out since we only got 14 episodes this year I like to savior them a bit. The thing about this one I like is the freakin head sculpt is gorgeous! I know it's the same on Hasbro but the white seems like not so much of a deco choice, but a set back with budget.

To those that said he is 20 inches tall. He's not. I have the TV one, which is smaller, but not by 8 inches and that one stands at I believe 12.5 inches when I reviewed him. I think this one is about a head and half taller so I'm gonna guess right around 13 to 14 inches. Can someone that has him clarify his exact height to top his crest on his head?

(This Friday I'm shipping mine out with MP Ratchet, & SHFiguarts mk.46 Iron Man and Captain A.)

He just needs a good truck mode, but he really doesn't have it at all does he?

I am guessing since we have seen this across size classes that it features upcoming.

I will prefer the robot mode than the alternate mode.

It's an inch, inch and a half taller and bulkier then the tav-33 ;)

Over at Seibertron they are saying he has no bicep swivel but that he's more solidly built and sturdier/tougher then the first 2 leader Primes by Takara. Is this true? Can you or anyone elaborate a little bit about the quality of joints plastic feel ect.?

Also it does seem there is indeed a missing bicep swivel. Maybe that money went into the movie toys for the next 3 years lol

I was thinking the reason he probably doesn't have bicep swivels and why he's "sturdier" is because hasbro is sharing the mold with TakaraTomy. You guys in the industry think that's most likely true?

I got mine today. He certainly LOOKS nice in robot mode. I wish he had biceps swivels.. I wish they had done some shared engineering from TAV-33 and given the truck some panels on the sides. The front of the truck also should have been made to collapse onto his back better. Or at all... :lol

Also the gimmick works sometimes... One of the wings doesn't like to pop up, and it's hard to find a good place to hold him when attaching the minicon.

I definitely agree that this is more a Hasbro toy with a premium paint application. He LOOKS good, though.

Lack of a bicep swivel in a toyline where every Warrior-class got one. Lol... Looks good, but clearly's not on pair with TAV-33.

What's articulation in his shoulders? Universal joints with ratchets?

No ratchets, alas... Also the forearms are held on by clips like so many wheels nowadays and can fall off when trying to go from truck to robot.

Well I wish I could be more positive about the figure itself but the simple fact is it's not as well engineered and yeah it's pretty much a Hasbro figure with a new car paint on it though he's big he looks nice the lack of articulation of the bicep swivel and not to mention the poor engineering and certain areas and the fact he really doesn't look like a truck but here some pics you judge for yourself?

That being said and all he does have some good qualities some decent joints in the ankle tilts are mostly nice but the fact that the arms quickly fall off after a transformation is is not good at all overall I'm glad the purchase but not for the price if you can find them on discount rack for 30 bucks he should be worth it maybe?
