Your seriously asking how they look different is that an serious question? Cause I thought it would be obvious that brawl's deco changes were somewhat obvious when paying attention. Also the not remolding a single thing is false they retooled vortex. Plus Onslaught's vehicle looks more like something that could exist, and it looks much better than hasbro's onslaught. P.S. hot rod's vehicle mode just looks like a futuristic car and its pretty obvious, so are you trying to act like that comparison is saying he looks like something that wouldn't exist cause if you are your failing...

It's definitely not orange... if it was orange it would be the most obvious thing about this set, but it's not since its brown....

 

Then I must be odd.. because Blast Off's miscolor IS the most obvious thing about this set, to me (well.. aside from him being a shuttle anyway).  

 

He's justhe in amy lighter brown color, and also did you mean his color scheme in shuttle mode rather than having shuttle mode all together?

 

I really don't see a shade of brown when I look at him... much like shadowfall doesn't see orange. Every picture looks like some shade of orange to me. I'm starting to accept an 'agree to disagree' stance.

But nah, I meant him just being a shuttle. Because that probably is the most obvious thing. The color is up there, though!

 

I've looked on tablet, phone, lappy, and all I see is orange.

Even at that, it's an extremely light, burnt brown, which is not cartoon accurate in any form, and gives blastoff a high contrast deco that doesn't match his limbmates or any standard color scheme he's been drawn in.

It's fine, it really is, if it works for you. Mostly I am confused that tt chose those colors and deco when their philosophy is going by the cartoon.

 

To me it looks caramel brown. I'm not sure why but lately Takara seems to be going the lighter colors route despite trying to make it more g1-ish. I wouldn't be suprised if their new brown is caramel brown as they have made light purple for Cyclonus (Henkei), Shockwave, and Galvatron. Oh well, mines is on the way from Amiami. Can't complain about the colors now.

 

This set is a horrible mixed bag. On one hand a new (re) mold is great, but Blast Off looks terrible as a shuttle. And his chest is "backwards"? WTF?

Onslaughts G1 colors pop more. And looks good at first glance. Nice painted twin rifles. But why the green truck cab parts? Why the white (light gray) combiner port tabs?

Why does Swindle have the same light gray parts? He has no other shade of that color on him?

Vortex looks the best until you see his additional back kibble.

Im not even gonna discuss Brawl. One of the worst CW molds.

Horrible set. Absolute PASS.

How is Blast Offs chest backwards? And I seriously hope by the (re) mold thing you're not insisting he is a Rook retool.

Green truck parts because G1 toon Onslaught had green truck parts. The gray plastic...no idea.

Vortex has no more back kibble than his g1 toy or toon had, and two extra blades doesn't make more kibble if it's accurate.

Why does Hasbro use two different molded colors for thighs on their Vortex when they should be all teal... and bright ass banana missiles? You can ask similar questions about Hasbro choices.

 

Yeah, the Onslaught /Bruticus torso is crappy to me. That´s why I´m gonna use the Hasbro version for the torso with the UW version as limbs. I vastly prefer the black head and gray chest. My Bruticus is going to be a mix and match of UW and CW parts.

Brawl´s face also looks weird, I prefer the all black version from Hasbro. Swindle and Vortex are, however, great.

 

Looks great. Hope we get more third party back gun options.

 

Ok, better comparison: UW Onslaught looks no more realistic than CW Onslaught. When I said they didn't remold anything, I meant with Onslaught.

 

Blast Off's hollow nose cone in arm mode sticks out to me. Other than that this is a great set for those who waited. I'm fine with the Hasbro version though.

Blastoff is definitely a lighter, more orange tinted brown than his G1 cartoon self. I happen to like the color, but I understand complaints about it.

To call it flat out orange, though, seems misleading to me. It's very much a shade of brown. Even the photos where the lighting brought out the orange tint (I'm thinking stuff like the original colored promotional poster), it was almost always still a shade of brown. It's totally fair to say that it isn't the correct shade of brown compared to the G1 model or you don't like the shade, though.
