I'm down with it, as long as it's released I don't care. I'm wondering if he'll have the IDW head or G1.

For the last few years, Walgreens has tried to reinvent itself as more of a neighbourhood market/convenience store than a pharmacy. Their most recent ad campaigns focus on stuff like "When you need milk and bread, skip the long lines at the grocery store and come to Walgreens."

They built a couple of new Walgreens near me and the new designs of the store are a few cry from the old ones, imo. They are definitely trying to get away from that image of being purely a pharmacy and nothing more.

Sigh... the Wallgreens in my area are terrible and barely stock any figures. Hey at least it isn't a Walmart exclusive which is a relief...

Didn't certain drug stores carry G1 back in the day? This seems like an appropriate call back I guess.

I'm probably gonna try to get the set because i like the translucent Sentinal, be more then happy to sell you Windblade at cost.

I actually remember all the "drug stores" (as we called 'em back then) in the 2 small towns i lived by carrying TF, MASK, Joes back in the day. ahhhhh, the 80s.

Ooo! How soon? I asked one of the designers at the Hasbro booth about Brainstorm getting a single release and he said it would be exclusive to somewhere. I speculated Walgreens myself. Nice to know I was right. Just need to know when to start hunting. :)

My local Walgreens is an excellent place to shop for toys. I'll pick it up if it's cheap enough. :D

    They sure did.

I had mentioned to someone in another thread that I would be interested IF he bought a set, but I know he wasn't even sure if he was going to get it, so if that's the case then sure, I'll take her. :D

Yup, those were great times. The 70's weren't bad with toys either though, as my drug store had them even back then.

Well that's good news. This is an email notification, I guess he deleted this tweet because I can't find it.

Well I'm glad there are people who have a Walgreens nearby, have to drive almost an hour away to find one and hope they have one when he comes in. But knowing my luck that will be a waste.

Not sure why you would say that, it's a heck of a lot easier to find a Walmart exclusive than a Walgreen's exclusive.
Any chain with 4,000 + stores isn't all that exclusive...

I know my Walgreens is good with stocking toys, but if this one doesn't get the figure, I have 3 within my area, so at least one of them will have it.

Chances are good they will put it up on their website, they did the same for Star Wars Black and Marvel Legends exclusives.

Their toy buyer knows what he is doing.

This is cool, and I'm glad he's gonna get a single release for those that want him. I personally am gonna go for the inevitable Takara version with the face, since the Voyager figure scratches my faceplate itch.

After several fruitless months combing the Walgreens in my area (and there are quite a few of them) for the exclusive Jakks World of Nintendo 8-bit repaints, only to end up giving up and buying them for approximately quadruple price off eBay, this news doesn't fill me with optimism. However, good to know it'll exist at all.

If this really ends up being some dumb exclusive, I guess I'll be forced to get the Takara version and work out my own faceplate. If no 3P company handles it, I'll have to try to make something out of pla plate or something. Really irritating.
