I am so glad that you are not involved in the balancing of anything. Shoulder charge is close range. Throwing knife is ranged. Ranged = usable at every range. Close range = usable at close range. If you have an ability that is a one hit kill and can be used at every range (granted long range wont see much use), then isn't the ranged one clearly superior? That and Shoulder Charge has a build up time and will go away if you sprint for too long. Throwing knife? Always there. Also as far as I can see they're making the Hunters better...they're just widening up the options that are viable.
Throwing knife is not Always there it has to Charge and it is not a one hit kill only if it is a head shot. Shoulder Charge is Always there you just run around and one hit players with it.
Played a bit with the the First Curse, Imago Loop, and Twilight Garrison today. Didn't see too much difference in performance with the First Curse but my longer shots are hitting a lot more consistently with the Imago Loop. Losing my second dash with the Garrison is throwing me off. I didn't realize how much I was relying on it during engagements. I still find it effective but there goes my fly bys on Vertigo. The throwing knife was never meant to OHKO on headshots. Now it's back in line with what was attended. Feel free to vent about the Hunter's changes though since you are more experienced with that class but try not to talk about classes and perks you have little to no experience on.
No need to be a diva but you're the only one here calling the Titan Charge broken which makes me question how much experience you have with a Striker Titan in PvP.
Super pissed at this week's challenge of Elders and the new time penalty from Variks. Fuck that 4 armed asshat with something rusty and chocolate. it is damn near impossible to get the score up using melee. Constantly taking huge, thousand point chunks from our score makes the whole thing pointless.
Three mystery boxes today; first one was Warlock gloves. Second one was Warlock gloves. The final box had a Spektar plate! Not only that, it was both the right two attributes (Int and Dis) and had Solar armor. Yay! Now all I need is the gauntlets with the right attributes and I'll be set. I also got the next step in the Exotic Sword quest done, so one step closer. Doing the POE with Rhinox tonight, on the other hand, wasn't much fun. I should've switched to Warlock, but man how they expect a Titan to get Melee kills against teleporting/shielding Vex without an embarrassing death count is beyond me.
So if I may ask. Why do so many folks hate on Hunters, really? As one that plays as all three chars and who has used all 9 subclasses to a fair extent I am completely puzzled by this. Between PvE and PvP I've found that the Hunter has the hardest time with any of it. Between the three it's got the worst stats, no over shield and no real mass effecting super. Compared to the Warlock and Titan I always feel like I'm running around buck naked as the Hunter. Same thoughts as Pravus on the PoE melee bonus. The Warlock's insane range hand farts are the way to go for that. Hunters and Titans might as well just be handing out candy corn to the ads lol. Last time they did the Melee bonus I ignored it and just kept to my guns, did fairly well anyway.
I just found particularly in Iron banner that a majority of my deaths were due to hunters, between tether and knives to the face I got a bit frustrated, now that could be due to my play style I charge in to fight as a striker and my build heavily supports melee. insurmountable skull fort for dual melee, and paleocontact with quick unassisted kills reduce melee/grenade cool down as my primary. Now as I was running a striker in the heat of the moment I wasnt smart enough to change to the dash shield ability rather than shoulder charge which would have nullified a lot of my issues but I like the shoulder charge as an option to escape and close a gap when needed. Just got frustrated that a distanced melee took me out before I could close a gap or get out of a confrontation . The fist of Havoc update is definantly awesome! I felt like it was the mass affect special of old. Hammer of sol felt a little better but I was being a lot more skeptical of it than normal as I pretty much activate that and spam it till its gone normally, but tried to aim more with this round. Handcannons...........still suck for me in crucible. Did get a 327 imago loop as a vanguard drop last night. Didnt get a light increase but worst case I got some infusion fuel for my other primaries I have quit using due to low light level.
Well the cosmodrome is getting a complete visual overhaul, it's going to be all snowy now. Pretty sweet! Dropping last gen has also allowed for greater graphical fidelity, so we get some nice weather effects now and supposedly the new areas will be larger.
Year 2 Moments of Triumph? https://mobile.twitter.com/vivekhnz/status/743028028062601216 Looks easier than a Year One but I am going to hate farming the Court for the rest of those fragments.
Eh... Unless it comes from Bungie directly. Take those triumphs with a grain of salt. Plus if it's anything like last year, if you've done most of the major tasks of Year 2 you have it already.
Got Raze-Lighter tonight. Yay! Also did everything we could to get Sleeper Stimulant (Get the transmitter, decode it, do the timed mission, get all the parts, activate it). Just got to wait for the reset to get the final step(s).
I need to get my void and solar exotic swords. Just need to run that mission for both.sleeper simulant is an awesome exotic that i always forget to use! Lol
^ is part of hat quest the random mission in the Cosmodrome where you have to kill the spawned enemies in a certain order?
