Silhouette preview image showed one for Max and one for Cerebros.



Neither was shown on the colour pics.



The Max at the toyshow is the Hasbro Max, we'll have to wait a while to see the Japanese one at a show

BUT

The expected to be SDCC Max comes with a sword and the Japanese Metroplex had the extra weapon the SDCC Metroplex had. So I'm still expecting Japanese Max to have the swords.

 

Glad that very soon TT Skullcruncher and Weirdwolf will be available on online shops, but now after seeing Hasbro version,I absolutely desire their Mindwipe version,that surely will be better for toon accuracy.

Is it possible that could he be showed on July/August or not?
I'd like so much having Weirdwolf on September and Mindwipe already on November..

 

What's the deal with city mode Fortress Maximus anyway? Has anyone noticed it has a white chest and added black paint on the leg guns?

Edit: Check Type-R's posts #94 and #95. This is very noticeable in the first pics in both posts.

Takara Blaster is a much richer red color than Hasbro's, and the warm-gray & silver plastic looks more "high-end" overall. It reinforces the notion that Hasbro makes toys, while Takara crafts collectibles.  

The only thing I don't care for is the mime-like white face, there I prefer Hasbro's bright silver.

 

I dont think the pictures are 'greyed out'. They are photos of grey plastic colored test shots. They dont have colored versions to show. They make a few dozen grey ones first to make sure that the figure doesnt need more tooling. Rather than show nothing, they now let us see the protos ahead of the official product shots. When you see the pictures in color later, its because they went over them with Photoshop and colored the figures. Theyre still not really a picture of the actual toy.

Takara needs to knock it off with the white face crap. UW Bruticus looks like a KO with it and Blaster doesn't look any better. It's not even his animation head, so what is the point?

I'm thinking if MP-10 or MP-13 were being released now they would have had white thighs... Stop it!

 

Blaster's face is white because it's white in the cartoon.

 

I like this deco more. Same reason why I bought Takara's FOC Blaster.

 

I like the white face. Otherwise I like that Hasbro's matches the previous Blaster toys with the beige grey. That said, I'm happy with the Fall of Cybertron Blaster, who fits in scale with other movie characters on my CHUG shelf. (FoC has a superior head mold IMO).

 

Well this deco is "richer" BUT it isn't exactly toon accurate and Hasbro's is basically a dead ringer for the G1 toy.

Factually. the white they are using is based more on Broadcast's appearance in The Headmasters. So while I do agree that it might be a bit too white, they are trying their best to match what he looked like in that series.

 

Is it bad that I've been waiting for years for them to reissue MP-10 with cartoon coloured white thighs

I don't think the White faceplate is bad at all on UW Bruticus. He has become one of if not my one favorite Combiner, I love all the colors. On Blaster, I need better pics, but it may be too White for him.

Now that is a Wheelie worth my money.
