i still say that the hound mold with two guns on the shoulders would make an awesome prowl.....

edit: what do you guys think would be the better mold for customing into cosmos?

both:new head
pros:new combiner arm
cons: price and possibility of no leg mode

wheeljack: new chest, hood, leg wheel replacements, car topper.
pros:the arm mode can have the round shoulder armor like in the comic
con: UFO will be more oval shaped

......or.....

brawl: new shoulders, arms, legs
pros: robot mode would be a bit accurate
cons: arm mode might not have the correct shape in comic style

......or......

use the legends cosmos and try to make an addon arm like echo tf did for legends groove leg mode
pros: no modding to original figure, could be used for another shuttle in non-arm mode
cons: partsforming (depending on your cup of tea)

seawing from firefky/blast off
overbite from alpha bravo/blades
naughtilator from rook
skalor from groove

heck, you could keep the red and make them lava fish

 

Got the Onslaught and Wheeljack.

Think I can get away with a bit of paint touch-ups on Onslaught to pass him off as Barricade.

 

Change of plans for Nemesis Maximus. Instead of Offroad the fourth limb will be Turmoil from either Rook or Brawl.

 

i had a weird dream last night, and it gave me a new character that has some sort of connection to sky lynx......

he was from the optimus mold, his legs and forearms were g2 MM blue, his body being BCOP colored, and his robot head was black, looked similar to AoE scorn's but with more armor....his combined mode head was a red menasor's with no horns....

in the dream he could transform into the truck and a shuttle, he was a skilled fighter and he could shoot blue energy out of his wrists.the only thing i remember about his personality is he was strict, and he was a guardian of some sort....

oddly enough, he combined with the sky reign toy components

i might make him with the leftovers of my current project

hound with merge with another hound for rack'n'ruin...should the hammer be held by a rook arm?

wheeljack will be made into counterpunch......or punch......one of them......idk

sky lynx will be made into giant purple griffin, with a trypticon based combined mode.

nothing yet for trailbreaker....

Since Sky Lynx has a habit of being paired with members of the Lost Light crew here are a list of alternates one can use listed by mold.

First Aid/Van: Skids, Crosscut, Blaster, Brawn, Ratchet, Perceptor
Car (no specifics): Chromedome, Getaway, Drift, Bluestreak, Nightbeat, Tailgate
Offroad/Ironhide/Truck: Huffer (use this as inspiration), Trailbreaker, Gears, Swerve

 

I was thinking Dead End would be a better fit for Skids/Crosscut.

Bit of a weird question, but does anyone here know if the combined mode head from PCC Smolder fits the balljoint on any of the limb bots?

 

I need to get a new HFG for my Sunstreaker repaint into Universe Rollcage.. doh!

 

I tried it once on an Alpha Bravo, but AB's ball joint was too big and Smolder's socket was too big for any of the other bots (although you could make an adapter). But even if it did fit, it's a little too tall to swing around when changing into arm/leg mode.

 

Might try to do Gears instead of Brawn.

Ironhide with Mirage's head and a copious amount of blue paint might do it.

 

Here's one... Multiversal Megatron Combiner.

Core Bot - Motormaster Mold repainted to Movieverse Galvatron. Combiner head is Galvatronus, of course.

Limb 1 - Helicopter Animated
Limb 2 - Tank G2
Limb 3 - Car (Alternity OR Energon Trilogy?)
Limb 4 - Jet (Machine Wars)

Weapon - A Replica G1 Megatron Gun. There's a few versions out there from 3rd Parties with 5mm ports.

 

I'm already doing preliminary work on "Magnaboss II" thanks to ending up with an extra Unite Warriors Grand Prime set.

Prowl and Ironhide will become Lio Junior and Santon, since they're mold equivalents in Beast Wars II.
I'll grab another Silverbolt to repaint as BWII Skywarp.
Sunstreaker will be Tasmania Kid.
Mirage will become Break.

A note to anyone considering making and selling custom heads for Magnaboss and his components: This means that I for one will want to buy two each of everything  

 

How possible/impossible would it be to have a Trainbots/Raiden CW team/combiner ?

Probably not happening without new molds.

Shame that not even a 3rd party company has not done a new Trainbot version....

I gave him a definite A+for effort. Pretty dang good job with what he had to work with.

I still am a little surprised nobody has dared to create a 3P Raiden though. How could the Throttlebots gets the 3P treatment but not the Trainbots ?
