stickers are horrible

 

From the original Diaclone Car Robots line that became Transformers.... Inferno/Grapple, Magnus and Sunstreaker all deviated from realistic altmodes. Prowl, Ratchet and Red Alert had unrealistic usage as emergency service vehicles. Tracks had wings! (ok, they can fold away).

An MP Inferno was always going to have that alt mode.

 

We get that, but I'm willing to bet the vast majority of people on this forum would prefer tampos to stickers, and I doubt many at all will use the messed up cartoon accurate logos they've been providing.

Expensive or no, the stickers are dumb.

 

Takara is turning into 3rd party without the details. Easy skip.

 

Apart from it does have tampo'd insignia on the chest but let's ignore that eh?

 

To be fair, this is just your opinion. If the line had always been slavishly toon accurate, you'd have more of a point. But the line has done an abrupt shift and a lot of fans are not happy about it.

Look at the G1 toy or some of the other 3P approaches—there's a lot of detail on the legs that has been omitted because the current approach is to follow only the Sunbow animation model. Some like it, some don't.

Seeing it in colour, it's not as bad looking as I expected, but personally I wish they added more realistic detail to him and figures like Ironhide. Too much toon accuracy just cheapens the look of these things, IMO.

Have to wait and see... but man, I hope he's not that short. He's a freakin' firetruck, he should be at least as tall as Ironhide.

Agreed. If it's about giving options, I kind of get it... but things like the FD logos should absolutely be tampoed.

 

Count me as in the minority then. Stickers were one of my favorite aspects of Transformers as a kid, and I don't view the Masterpiece line as a high end collectible line. Just another line of Transformers; regardless of cost.

Stickers offer variety, options, and yet another aspect of play. Same with accessories. Use them or don't. It's up to you.

While the vehicle mode is slightly disappointing, again count me in the minority as loving the minimal detailing in robot mode.

I want these as toys. Not statues.

 

If you notice, some police forces do have lamborghini's and mustangs, chargers and the likes. I'm pretty sure, sometime, somewhere, an emergency véhicule or at least a first respondant was at some point a datsun 260.

 

Stickers tends to stay on the sheets for me.

Ah, but it's not really an option to not use them. I want a logo. I don't want a plain chest. If it's not tampo'd on I have to put something on there...ie, a sticker.

Now I may elect to use one of the Ocean dry transfers that I need to use on 3P figures because they tend to be way better than the stickers Takara provides...but they still aren't as good as a tampo.

Very happy with Hellfire, but I may have to get this, too.

 

I think Autobot emblem on cab will be Tempo.
Because there is 3 Cab for selected (Original , Toon, Holding Red alert)
And all 3 Cab have Tempo.
Sticker is for accessory. that why they give you many of Rescue team mark instead of Autobot symbol.

But this is my estimate, just wait for they start Pre-order for more information.

From what episode are those screen grabs?

 

I've had MMC Backfdraft preorderd for a while but recently cancelled it after these new pics. I liked what I saw from the official one, but held out on cancelling the other. After seeing it in color and all of the included accessories, this makes the decision much easier.

 

This guy looks great   That water effect accessory looks really cool.

 

Even though I have (and love) Hellfire, I can see myself getting the official MP Inferno. I like how he comes with an array of accesories, especially the water effect part.

However, I'm still a little put off with the minimal detail which makes him look like a PVC figure (although it's not that bad to be honest). My other drawback is that from what I can make out on the accesories tray is that the alternate faces are designed specifically to fit on a specific head (eg. smiling face is designed to fit on the round and simple toon head).

 

I'm thinking Grapple will come with a small Solar Power Tower.. lol
