Hopkins? Cool!

 

The script better be amazing if Anthony Hopkins is in it. Hopefully the story line is good, I think that is all anyone is expecting.

 

Ooooooh boy. This may very well be my fave movie.

Man, this is going to be SO fun speculating for the next 9/10 months! Hee Hee! XD

 

Just one idea I had (which not even I take seriously) but if he voices a character, could you imagine him as the voice of Grimlock? After all he never spoke in AoE.

 

Yeah, no. Sorry. Would not fit Grimlock whatsoever. If anything, Grimlock would need a deep, growling voice that's filled with something that make sit strong and powerful, and Hopkins - I say with the utmost respect - his voice is powerful in it's own right but it's not deep and fierce. It's too light and soft and it doesn't suit him. Grimlock is a beast, and a beast like him always needs to have a voice. But the right voice.

 

I hope he's not a scary villain in Transformers 5. The villains in Transformers are getting really scary. If Hannibal Lecter is the main human villain of TF5 than I don't think I'm going to see the movie.

 

Shit I really wanna see the guy utilized as a villian (or maybe even anti hero) TF who shreds other TFs and than fries the metallic sidings with mechnical oil and eats them at his leisure. Hell of a lot better that than some generic human sci fi and/or military villian circa The Rock.

 

So is this a sign of better things to come in the franchise?

Hopkins is usually very selective in his roles. With this franchise solidified in infamy, it really makes me wonder if something special is happening with tf5...

And I saw some people here said that Transformers can't attract famous actor/ no A list actor want to work with Bay

 

They got Spock to voice Sentinel so this isn't exactly true...

 

Well seeing as how they got Frank Welker to come back and voice Galvatron in the last one... If He comes back to once again voice Galvatron, I hope Anthony Hopkins will be the voice of the new Megatron. But only if Galvs and Megs end up being seperate characters. Otherwise, I think Anyhony Hopkins would be the perfect voice for Vector Prime or Ultra Magnus!

He said he's going to England for Transformers so he'll be a human character and not a voice.

 

There is only few options in the likes of Unicron or Magnus. So he is gonna play a self aware skateboard in Minnesota because why the hell not.

 

I respect what Frank Welker did for Galvatron in the cartoons, but it didn't work for me in AOE.
After seeing Hugh Keays-Byrne voice performance In Mad Max Fury Road as Immortan Joe, I've been dying to hear him voice Megatron.

 

That's awesome!! Now to keep my fingers crossed that Epps comes back.............
