Funny how Amazon keeps getting more Grooves in stock while other sites are expecting supplies around October.

 

Sold out in 20 min. I just missed it. The link to add to cart was there but then it said out of stock when clicking.

I am starting to get really annoyed, Just want one for retail.

 

Could be the reason why they keep going in and out of stock these past weeks, BBTS was buying them all up!

 

I wouldn't be surprised actually...makes me think less of this company though if that is the case, and then marking it up 8 bucks more sheesh.

Just wanted to confirm that Amazon is willing to give partial refunds on Grooves that were packed in boxes smaller than the toy's packaging.

Screen grab from amazon.com earlier today. Item disappeared quickly, even links quickly deferred to scalper priced ones. Only way to prove anything was taking the screenshot. I got off a chat just now with a Gena K. and to say I'm royally ticked off about it would be an understatement. Their best offer was to put a $16.99 credit towards a scalper priced offer which I refused. I wasn't going to reward those people even if Amazon agreed to pick up some of the tab. Basically they called it an error and even with errors they wouldn't honor an erroneous listing or something to that effect. Considering shutting down my amazon account as I don't think false advertising is acceptable and neither is rewarding shameless opportunists.

 

Shutting down your Amazon account won't change anything. I really don't think you would shut down your account anyway. That's just a reflexive and irrational statement.

Just wait it out, like everyone else. Groove didn't just go to the scalpers, Entertainment Earth had a pre-order up for October, so it will be back.

 

Repainted- Wow... so let me get this straight: An item sells out before you can purchase it, you demand they force another seller, who is not connected to Amazon in any way, to honor Amazon's price, and when Amazon tells you (rightly so) they can't, you get mad and want to just rage quit.

...seriously, calm down.

THey had it up, it sold out. It happens. A lot of us have had it happen... not just on Amazon, but on HTS, Toysrus, so on. It is a thing that happens with new toys and websites. It wasn't a 'glitch'... they had a select few, they were bought up, end of story.

So you want Amazon to force another seller, someone not connected with them and who has every legal right to sell an item for whatever price they want, to lower their price? That would be like me losing an Ebay auction, contacting Ebay, and demanding they make another seller give me the item at the bid I wanted.

You are letting yourself get WAY too angry about a toy... a toy that Hasbro has already said will be MASS RELEASED in the fall. By November we will be swimming in Grooves. You need to calm down and stop acting like this... because you are just making yourself look foolish.

 

And that's what I don't get. Its may mayhem but the mass release isn't until fall...when titans return is in full effect. It doesn't stop boggling my mind

 

honestly I'm just glad its getting a release at all, whether it be may, august, or 2018. doesn't matter to me as long as we get one.  

 

If they got their Amazon account just to get figures, then I don't see why they shouldn't shut it down.
I got my Toys R Us credit card so I could get points towards figures, but they've upped the price so much that it's no longer worth it. I'm definitely considering switching credit cards, which I don't think is irrational or reflexive. If the benefits aren't worth it, and there are other options, go for the other options.

 

This is what I gather... Hasbro did not expect the demand for Groove to be this huge and thus it was never planned for a massive release. But when they were seeing just how much of a demand there was they went "Okay, let's mass produce. The soonest we can get it out is October"
