Ian, did you ever grab that small Stanley screwdriver set I told you about and get your Sky Lynx fixed? This is the set I was referring to: Stanley 66-052 6-Piece Precision Screwdriver Set - Laptop Screw Driver - Amazon.com
Wasn't a competition, but thanks! I opened up my Skylynx, how do I tell if the one leg is bent by the packaging?
I don't think you can. if it's the issue I have it's from the twist tie around his hindquarters in the box.
Sorry, I meant the bend being caused BY the packaging, not if I could tell without taking him out of the box, Someone at the meet-up (you?) talked about it but I don't remember what was said aside from it possibly having something to do with seeing if his legs fold up incorrectly
Yea that was me. You can't tell in box, but Harold/Hiro mentioned the hairdryer method could fix it. Also, anybody know any good shops for football trading cards? Affordable singles of recent players preferably? Looking for a gift for my nephew
I know about the hairdryer, I wanted to know how to tell if it was warped in the first place, is it obvious or not?
It depends. On mine I could tell right away because his back right leg didn't stand flat when he was in dragon mode. Then in torso mode you can tell because the blue panel on his chest doesn't align quite right with the tabs on his upper body. I can also pick mine up in dragon mode and look at his butt to see the bent panel (where the leg attaches at the hip)
Woo! Congrats! Speakin' of shipping, anyone know what kind of shipping The Chosen Prime does for it's free shipping? I have a tracking number for Pandinus (*FLIPPING OUT*) but it looks weird.
Just Google it and that will tell you what service it is, then once you get to the tracking page you can see specifically what type of shipping method was used. If the result shows both FedEx and USPS, it's SmartPost for example.
Nothing new to report at the Eden Prairie Wal Mart other than they moved the toy section to the back northeast corner of the store now. Looks like the whole place is going through a remodel phase. In other news, if any of you Star Wars fans out haven't gotten your hands on one of those $150 interactive Yoda statues, you're in luck, Hutchinson Wal Mart has a bunch of them on clearance for $39.
Lots of legend Wreck-Gars are Bville Target, Bville TRU's deluxe prices are up to $23 and I threw up in my mouth a little when I saw that. Guess TRU's off my list.
Apparently you can price match, but why go through the trouble when you can just not bother going there in the first place? Do they have the same bend me over prices on their other figures...Star Wars and the like? Or is that just for TFs?
I know they are notorious for jacking up their Lego prices to over MSRP too, so that wouldn't be surprising.
