I have mixed feelings about this one.

The bot looks solid, the tank looks alright. Not GREAT but certainly passable.
The JET is where things fall apart for me. I can get that as a triple changer, this figure needs to do a lot. BUT if you as going to sell this to me as a "Masterpiece filler" I would ask you to rethink your pitch.
The sea of purple I can forgive, nothing a few repro-lables wouldn't be able to fix.

But its just so FLAT with nothing to draw the eye. Some curves and sculpting towards the afterburners would have JUST sold me on this piece.

The jet mode looks very close to the g1 toy and cartoon model.

 

I really like those sizes for scale comparison. Seekers not too big. Shockwave actually tall. Astrotrain and Blitzwing massive.

Has it been mentioned if there would be a delay due to them adding the rear wings?

 

The G1 toy does have some tapering/curvature as you approach the nozzles. Not as much as a real MiG-25, but at least it's not dead flat right to the very edge. (Just mostly).

 

It's a tricky balance, for sure. It looks best (to me) when it's a happy medium. Not too greebly (as I find many of Toyworld's attempts at MP to be) but not completely smooth as they appeared in the cartoon either.

 

I'm not sure how you come to this conclusion. This jet mode doesn't look much like the G1 toy OR toon to me?

I really don't thing Gewalt looks like either. Toy and toon are clearly depicted with "delta" wing layouts in addition to having the "biplane" thick wings. Bums me out given how decent DX9's quality is, as though I prefer the look of KFC's Ditka it's hard to A) Wait for it and B) Feel completely comfortable going with KFC despite me decent experience with their stuff.

 

C) wait for someone else

Honestly, this is terrible and easy pass for me. Remind me nothing at all.
