Yeah that's a really annoying tolerence issue and something that really should have been caught early on.

Yeah, good call. I had the same thought, though have not made the modification.

Tolerances on this guy are insane. It's such a mixed bag.

I don't have any trouble rotating the legs outward, but I'll be damned if those clavicle tabs will stay tabbed in. Yet I also don't have a neck problem, and the only things that popped off during transformation were the foot wheels. Thought I was going to snap a hip joint trying to extend his right leg though, that sucker was TIGHT!

TCP just shipped mine, hopefully I get a goodie to share. If not, oh well, I know what I'm getting into and it's all good.

    Nice job!

As an aside, each time I see the initials SO my mind goes to "Significant Other" as in boyfriend / girlfriend / husband / wife / mistress.

Makes your work sound rather disturbing out of context, lol.

Its only an issue if the legs are close together. If they are spread out far enough, its fine, but being spread out looks slightly more, aggressive? Ready to rumble? :peoples:

    :lol

Got Spinout today from Captured Prey. He is a pretty good example of this figure. Nothing fell off and only the hips and one knee are lose. I can think of some parts I will glue for better durability. Forearms and front fenders...maybe tops of the shoulders too. Omni. I can see how this was originally meant to be when you sent your designs off. Glad I took a risk a got one. With the fixes and parts you will be offering. I look forward to updating him from a good figure to a better one. Really like the aesthetics of both modes. Which remind me of the toy and not so much the animation.

Got mines from aliexpress. Paid full price unfortunately but I'm happy the way it came out.

    Update:

Pieces have been sent and awaiting completion.

Initially it had been quite pricey and included some extra pieces, but in the end wasn't worth the price, so I've only included 3 pieces; 1x Ab-lock & 2x inner shoulder pieces.

What this means is that you'll need to cut a small slice out of the rear shoulder piece. A simple removal of a protruding piece of plastic.

Nothing patience and a sharp blade can't handle.

Owing to the price of the pieces, I chose not to include the neck pieces, instead, as with the shoulder pieces - you'll need to remove the pins from the neck assembly and cut out 3 (you can get by with 2) triangular pieces out of the neck pieces. Again, patience and a sharp blade will position the head closer to the intended position.

I will provide detailed instructions (I hope everyone read that bit in Arnie's T-800 voice) with pictures that detail the process. I just ask for your patience while the pieces are created, received and test fitted before they are available.

Thank you for your continued interest :)

Are you still likely to do some of the alternate helmet designs? I was intrigued at some of the possibilities (not sure which you had initially intended to offer).

BTW, I LOVE this guy! After I applied some nail polish I have no real complaints.

Guys, I found a way to lock the torso in place, sorta. After getting the body all transformed, but before locking in the clavicle/head base to the chest, just reach in and fold the wheels outward ( I think, it was a few days ago ). They end up jamming against part of his frame and prevents the torso from rotating upward. Then just press the clavicle parts into the top of the chest/roof ( make sure to push them all the way in ) and everything should be pretty solid.

Man, I have two right hands and the left (right) hand is missing a pin. I don't care for the floppiness of the torso, but I do like the look. If the QC was better, this would be a great figure.

    Omnigonix,
Should I go through my retailer or go directly to you, via your email for a replacement hand?

Mr. Omnigonix it is possible to offer the extra pieces as a downloadable file? I have a printer at home and I could print them and test them.

Just received my second copy of my Spinout. Aside from the known issues where the hips are loose and the spoiler on my second copy coming out which can be attached back with ease, other parts or joints are good, even the damn neckpiece that connects to the chest hood tightly. Quality consistency and inconsistency is all over the place.

man im tempted by this guy, I typically dont go for 3rd party mp figs ( i prefer to go for classics from them) though megatron was my exception.

this might be as well.. he just looks really good.

An i7 with a GTX? I'm more impressed by that than the figure! That's a nice laptop....
