Yeah, I've just finished watching BSF's review after watching PAIK's. I loved how he (BSF) wanted to smash it with a hammer :lol  And how he kept going on about the head, and how it's basically poorly put together. I had to stop 16minutes into RPA's review as the wheel just kept falling off :lol  I just couldn't continue. Just watching 3 separate reviews though, I don't think I could pull the trigger on this thing even if retailers lowered the price more. It's a shame because I really liked the aesthetics of Spinout. I really don't know if any of the rumors of another company's involvement/affiliation are true, but....either way....I hope all those who have Spinout don't have anywhere near as many problems as I saw in the reviews.

Thank you, any tips on how to fix the rotating parts that are on screws such as the wheels and the doors?

I have an idea..... if you have any busted up G1 car bots and such, they used knurled pins on the wheels and some parts , I say rob Peter to pay Paul. If(hopefully it doesn't) mine has any of these issues when it arrives that's the method I'm going to try and implement.

Hmm. BBTS got back to me. Gotta ship back the entire figure, so by the time I get mine will likely be at least a week to 10 days.

You must watch the last ten minutes of RPA's review... he gives up on it completely. There's rants, skits, insults and it's hilarious. :D

Id say thread locker or even glue just on the threads. Get it the tightness you want the let it cure.

Just order a new one and ask for a refund on the one you're returning?

Why they're making you wait on a product with so many know QC issues is just silly.

The main problems I seen was the ( locking / non-locking) clips on the back of the windshield and the snake neck not locking in anywhere. Other than that, I like the design and still want it before picking up Badcubes Streaker. The lighter yellow paint can be fixed and I will.
The back side of BC's is just sloppy and unfinished , looking at Spinout.
So, I am going to hang around until prices drop (looks like soon)at BTTS and TFSource under $50. and take my chances... If anything car mode is a win.

I wonder what the retailer cost per unit was?

If it pops up somewhere for less than $50 I'm definitely in for a second SO.

I wouldn't hold my breath on a markdown at BBTS just yet. I emailed them to see if they were going to meet or beat the price of their competitors. Their response was they hadn't received any complaints about the figure and it was too new to discount.

How long does it take to get replacements? Tony said he'd contact the factory. Does Chimungmung have a good reputation with this sort of thing?

A fairly quick & dirty hack of Spinout with one of his droog's (I'm lacking time).

Yes, he's loose, yes his left hip flap is missing and yes he's an interesting transformation but in design he represents an awesome MP interpretation of the toy I loved so much as a kid in the mid-eighties. So Yes, I'm very happy with my Spinout. Thank you Mr Omni, sir :D

I can't speak to Chimungmung specifically, but typically if the retailer is waiting for parts from the vendor it's not going to be very quick. I needed a replacement part for one of the FT Dinos and I think it took 2-3 months to get it in hand going through my retailer.

Feels like a cheap knockoff, mixed yellows and generally wobbly, but looks great next to MP Sideswipe in both modes.

The last 5 minutes said it all. Ah well. You know, I had an idea that this could be a "cosmic rust" edition :D  What with the way it was falling apart in the video.

Got my Spinout today. I'm very pleased with my copy. Sorry for those that got some really crappy ones, like many of the reviewers. Aside from loose hips, (side to side) my SO is tight everywhere else. I figure some Future will remedy the hip issue.

He is not perfect, but neither have any of my official MPs been perfect.

    minor complaints
    - small paint chips along some panel lines
    - though my forearms stay together well, build-wise they could use better pinning.
    - the front wheels - screws were a dumb choice, however the real problem is the bracket does not let the screws spin freely. A little filing out the bracket holes now lets the front wheel screws spin freely without backing the screws out. No more wobbly than any other MP wheel, either.
    - chest looseness - not the famous neck tabs, but the torso (back part of the car) could really use a couple of locking tabs at the bottom. Looks like there were supposed to be some, right in front of/below the car's topside vents.
    - though my painted headlights are painted superbly, nice and shiny, they could really use the same treatment as the tail lights, clear covers.
    - neck joint is odd. maybe mine is assembled incorrectly. That said, angling the intakes back slightly changes the neck joint "launch point" enough to allow the head to fit inside the silver collar, so the head position looks fine.
    - ball joint for the head is really tight once you actually get the head properly seated on the ball joint. Mine came with the ball just positioned between the face and helmet, not in the actual ball socket.

    major complaint
    - shoulders - the outward movement joint is in the shoulder. take it apart, it works really well. Somewhere in production the small piece on the back plate got fused/glued/molded into the back plate, making the outward joint inoperable. As this is finely detailed surgery or will need Omni's (designer) Shapeways parts, this sucks, because the design element was there.

    Gold stars for my copy
    - alt mode paint job (other than a few chips) is beautiful.
    - the extra head is awesome and already on. The extra detail in the helmet looks great.
    - chest tabs hold well, compared to the review samples. I can lift my SO by the chest and they stay tabbed in. My shoulder joints are tight enough that moving the arms unseats the chest tabs.
    - nothing missing, nothing fell off
    - looks bad@$$ with his bro, SideSwipe

Gotta give major props to Sidecutter at Captured Prey. He not only reduced the price of my pre-order, but committed to opening each SO before shipping to make sure he wasn't sending out lemons. Thanks Sidecutter. Captured Prey is my go to supplier for good reason. Thanks for sending me as near a perfect Spinout as there is.

I just got mine from TF-Source.

This thing is absolute garbage. Omnigonix has some nerve, trying to pass these things off as Masterpiece style or quality.

    So disappointing.
