Yeah, it's good to see that everyone's keeping an open mind and not pre-judging the first new movie from the writer's room for the TFCU, lolfail.

Guys, this stuff happens. My flow? Let people like what they like and let them dislike what they dislike. Don't let anyone's differing opinions from yours, even if they're treating theirs as objectionable, get you all riled up. Besides, part of having "an open mind" is accepting to agree to disagree with little to no conflict.

Personally, I LOVE all the transformers movies for what they are; however I will admit that at least one or two of them could've been LEAGUES better. Nonetheless, I personally haven't the energy to engage in the everlasting typer's-war of internet conflict. Makes for good reading entertainment though!

 

Failing to confront and correct the prejudicial ignorance of a closed mind isn't "keeping an open mind," it's passively supporting and emboldening a prejudiced and ignorant mind.

 

Your presumption that people with a different perspective to you are ignorant and closed minded, is kinda ignorant and close minded. With a bit of ego in there too.

 

We're not talking about people with different opinions here. We're talking about people shit-talking a movie that hasn't even started filming yet.

They've not only switched writers, but hired a slew of MASSIVELY talented and acclaimed writers to replace the previous writers. Additionally, it's not just a one-movie-at-a-time approach anymore, it's a concerted effort to construct an overarching cinematic universe of interconnected sequels, prequels, and spinoffs with a grand design and a long-term plan to back it up.

People haven't even had their first taste of that yet and they're already writing it off, ignorant of the outcome of even the first installment along that path.

THAT is the hallmark of a closed mind.

Your heart's in the right place with that sentiment but you're barking up the wrong tree.

 

Well for me personally, I can agree with that. Despite my overarching view of the general quality of these movies, I always approach the new ones optimistically, and usually have something positive to take away. But you can't blame people for having the "fool me twice" perspective.

Whether you get them or not, you know these movies aren't popular with some people around here, and that those people are Transformers fans, so you can understand that they are especially disappointed they don't have the movies they hope for. So maybe you can appreciate, 4 movies in, patience and optimism are gonna be low, and that getting told by other members that are fools because of the way they feel, is just gonna add fuel to the fire.

As someone put in the josh d thread could this new character she will play be Lennox little girl we seen in the first transformers as a baby ?

 

no....izabella would be too old unless the movie jumps 7 more years or so.

and lennox's baby is named annabelle

 

Isabella is 14 in real life but Lennox's child could be 10 turning 11 as she was about 6mths old in the 2007 film when the new film comes out in 2017.

It could be possible she could play her it's not that far as an age gap to pass off

 

the actress is 14 and the character of izabella is 14 as well. these movies seem to move in real time so she'd be too old for the part. also, do you think lennox would have a kid bounced around in the foster system as izabella has? that doesn't seem like a lennox move to me.

izabella is going to be the abandoned foster kid stereotype that finds a family with cade and cade will find a surrogate daughter in her that he no longer has with tessa since she's grown up and moved on. it's cliche but all the signs are there.

it's okay i'm just trying to give you the facts as they've been released. it's hard to keep up with everything and you may have missed it.

most people are missing that isabela is playing izabella since the name is pretty much the same so certain points are getting missed. i've had to start saying "the character izabella" to avoid confusion.

 

I have missed a lot recently as I only really start coming back when filming for the movies start but now it has I will start to drop in a lot more. It's been a good day with announcing of the title and josh coming back. It is starting to crank back up again
