PE need to drop the diecast and just provide a low cost master sword, I would assume that most people who get a Hasbro max would being saving some money on a Takara import so spending more on missing accessories would seem financially counter productive.

The diecast is an interesting choice, given that the figure isn't out and thus you don't know how well the figure will be able to hold it. I mean sure you can test it with Metroplex but that'll only get you so far. Reeeally don't see the point of the diecast in general, other than having them provide you with a sword you could bludgeon someone to death with.

I'm guessing that handle for the Metroplex hands is diecast. The blade is not.

Keep in mind that was one of their first products, made in 2009, and it had mode pieces. This will have less pieces, probably a higher production run, and they have more factory connections. It may cost less than the original one.

It's kinda pointless to hypothesize on price right now, just wait and see. Either way if I get Fort Max I'm going hasbro, I like it more and I know it's blasphemy but I couldn't careless about if he has his sword.

Why is it pointless? Its fun to speculate.

Also estimations can prepare your wallet.

In the previous versions, not even the handle was diecast metal, just the crossguard.

Only question I really want answered is whether PE is going to make an adapter piece to fit their Fort Max Head onto the Takara/Hasbro Body?

I don't agree with you. I've had two problems with Takara (Masterpiece Greenscream's missing thumb and Masterpiece Lazerbeak breaking), but they were easily replaced. I've had two or three third party toys break and could never get a replacement, due to the nature of buying such toys (the manufacturers cannot provide replacement parts).

Perhaps Scorp won't come out now?

You mean Hasbro's Fort Max doesn't come with a giant anime sword? They're never gonna win the giant robot battle between Japan with that attitude!

You definitely have a point; but in this case it just seems like both sides are just trying to use anything they can to justify the decision they have clearly already made.
It's less parts, may have a larger run, and the old version was made when most 3Rd party companies only did add-ons so less expensive, it's bigger and has die-cast so more expensive.
Usually I'd agree with you though

Both of those are older MPs. I don't know which 3P figures you have, or how you bought them, but I've had 6 total issues with 3P figures out of around 100 figures compared to 4 issues with MPs with around 25 figures. A much worse ratio. Takara doesn't do anything for you if you have a problem. Hopefully the retailer can. Almost every 3P company will provide replacement parts through your retailer if it is a relatively new release. Some of them you can contact directly even for a part. The only one I can think of that just didn't care was KFC/XTB, though I don't know if that is still true or not.
