I'm not sure Hasbro is necessarily to blame for poor distribution. If the stores don't order the figures there isn't anything Hasbro can do.

Hasbro not only has to sell toys to the fans, but they have to sell them to the stores as well.

You're right stores DON'T care about what TF's they get. All they want to know is will they sell. The ones ordering the figures probably know very little about TF's aside from Prime/BB/Megatron, which makes sense why they're put in a majority of the waves.

Hasbro Europe fucking suck, seriously, in a line about collecting figures to make combiners, They released one decepticon limb, dragstrip, so what is Onslaught now running around with four dragstrips? glad I gave up on this shitshow of a line release and went Japan only, they actually know how to do things competently.

If even I knew Disney Infinity was canned, how does anyone else not? I didn't even remember it was called infinity till I just googled it to snag an article. Though it does seem it was canned due to some internal foul up leading to poor sales, which leads me to wonder.. How colossal a foul up does someone have to commit to cause something like that to be canned.

    Anyway here's an article.

The problem is that both the wave 2 and wave 5 Deluxes were supposed to ship at the time of the year when stores are must reluctant to order new stock (late Q1/early Q2). We have the same problem every year, it just became particularly apparent due to the nature of Combiner Wars.

Amen. Always rankles when I see what Hasbro US does with their site, and that there is no European equivalent really. It's the 21st century, Hasbro. GET ONLINE.

And of course they missed the Combaticon waves, when I only need a Jet Blast Off to finish my "spare limbs" Galvatronus.. Looks like I'm paying stupid online prices with shipping and import tax if I want him then. Arse biscuits.

Well, here's hoping Sky Lynx will make it at its more reasonable retail price.
Really sucks about the Combaticons, you'd think retailers have an allergy to Decepticons by the way they've been treating them.
Makes me wonder if Titans Return will get cancelled here because there is more than one Decepticon in the first wave...

The Combaticons are available in Germany, I might be able to get you a Blast Off for cheaper than importing.

There actually was a Hasbro toy store around the time of the marvel transformers for the UK (don't know about Europe) but everyone just assumed that because it was Hasbro UK it would be rubbish and no one used it so they closed. I used it and so did a friend and we found it to be pretty good, got a number of toys that either weren't out here or hard to find at the time, no problems with postage and we even got a discount.

So it's one-limbed Galvatronus vs Defensor, Superion, Optimus Maximus, and Sky Reign? Do they think the UK hates Decepticons for some reason? Do we?

It would be betatron, we have had Scattorshot and Onslaught but no Skylynx yet.

It sucks that we have skipped the combaticons, don't know why, but then I'm sure Hasbro themselves would fail to answer

I managed to get a whole set of the Australian\Asian Hasbro release of combaticons off eBay for £80 shipped. Worked out cheaper to buy the whole set of 5 than Onslaught in store and the limbs online, ended up swapping the box inserts out and taking him back to Smyths ;)

Again, this likely has nothing to do with the figures but with bad timing.

The time from January to ca. May is the time of the year when stores are traditionally the most reluctant to order new stock of Transformers toys, not only in the UK but also in the US and in Germany. For comparison, there has been a large backlog of RID figures available online and in one or two international markets for months now that have yet to be sighted at US retail.

Combiner Wars wave 2 (all size classes) has just been one of the most prominent examples of that thus far due to the particular nature of the line, and the split Aerialbot/Stunticon Deluxe waves. The Combaticons are (to lesser degree, due to their haphazard availability in some European markets) the victim this year. I'm sure we will observe the same phenomenon again this time next year.

It sucks, but this isn't completely Hasbro's fault. The only way Hasbro could counteract ths was to deliberately halt the distribution of Transformers toys for the first quarter of the year.
