Real-time Strat game... yeah, I'm not so sure TF fans will flock to this. :/

The prob is how niche that genre is, even among hardcore gamers. Ergo, I venture to say the bulk of TF fans are casuals, and this game will mostly be played by RT Strat fans (not necessarily TF fans). Ehhh, I'm concerned they picked a bad pony when they went with this genre...

If Hasbro funded/supported an FPS TF game, that'd probably reach a far wider audience...

Clash of Clans with TFs. Almost identical, but of course cooler.

Played it for a bit, but enjoyment hit a (pay)wall after about two weeks.

In typical freemium app style, The space bridge mostly returns useless low or mid-tier characters (or double-ups of your existing team) unless you're prepared to fork out cash for more chances - no thanks.

Other than that, it was fun for a little while.

Like I've written before, Hasbro simply does not understand how to utilise their (TF) brand on mobile. I suspect that they gave all the responsibility to some midelle-tier marketing company and left it at that.

Thing, TF collectors would probably LOVE something taht enabled collecting TF related things, with links to real figures, screensavers, animeted wallpapers, soundboards, and, call me silly, but ACTUAL games.

RPGs with characters from different generations, with DLC add-on packs containing new missions, story and characters to add to your team. Heck, it could be some sort of multiverse, with our characters fighting the minions of Unicron (possibly to free them and then get said minions on your side to unlock as characters). Something like that.

Not pay-to-win w@nk like the stuff vomited out by Hasblow recently. Kids would rather play apps that directly link to the current toys, and contain no iap's (as the app should be a fun way to engage new kids and placate existing customers with the toys), wheras adult collectors bare willing to pay for premium stuff, especially if it links to premium toys, actual, tangible mobile products (animated wallpapers, ringtones, phone cases, etc), or links to console/pc games, such as dlc or charcter/weapon, etc unlocks in the "main" game.

However, Hasblow thainks that they can conquer China with gambling games in a TF skin, when this is simply not the case. Even if it was, it is alienating them from their core fans in the USA/outside china on mobile. Even wose, they have been resorting the toss-pot shenanigans of geolocking their mobile products in Japan (no excuses, as Takara simply does NOT "bring the game out later" on mobile, and even makes their own, awful japan only gambling games inna-tf-skin that is blocked outside Japan).

Currently, what we have is a delugue of pay-to-win crAPPs, which are limited to only specifiic countries, with little or no content (save the artwork/assets, such as pictures, music, etc. Who hates Angry Birds TF, but downloaded the soundtrack, eh?). This makes for a wastleand on Google Play/iOS shop, where that void has been taken up by fake "TF puzzle", "Robot Transming Action Game", "Transmophing robot aniumated screensaver", or out of date, abandoned official movie apps/games, which don't even look like real TF apps in the first place.

It's about time Hasblow and Takara invested some effort, money and time into delivering some actual content aimed at the KIDS and FANS who like TFs, instead of casualusers not that interested in TFs in China, etc.

I 100% agree with what you said. I try to avoid RTS games because they are becoming more and more cliche. It is nice to see that there is a version that includes TF, but it is not any more different than it was Warcraft, if they added a Star Wars theme to it, etc.

Then again, my sole wish is that they would do something similar to Gundam Breaker. Action RPG style, and you can upgrade your Autobot or Decepticon with better weapons and parts. Just not this.

I would love to a TF game Like Final Fantasy Record Keeper... Which is basically a game where you collect characters from various games and fight battles of increasing difficulty based on the games. Best of all its not a competitive game at all and is totally enjoyable without spending money.

I'd be all over a TF platformer or adventure game, but these strategy games bore me to tears.

I wouldn't say I'm a hardcore gamer, but I've bought one of each console since the PS2/Xbox fight started. I even bought a *shudder* Wii. So I do like my games! But mobile gaming hasn't really excited me; I always find the controls too clunky. So I tend to just play point 'n click and adventure games on my tablets.

Personally, I think they're targeting the wrong audience with these games. The RiD one was clearly aimed at kids/tweens and it was fairly good for the five minutes I played it before getting bored with the controls. This one looks like they tried to aim it at the adult fan, but as ZapRowsdower said, it's too specific as the base game is very niche. I don't know another gamer that plays RTS games. And any that do would be doing it on a PC (probably a self built one at that) and not on a mobile device! RTS fans are a special kind of gamer and I can see them turning their collective nose up at this!

So it doesn't appeal to TF fans or RTS fans as far as I can see.

Exactly. The possibilities are much better when you factor COLLECTING into the design. I wouldn't support a pay to win game (alas, even Record Keeper is that way for me), but something that let's me realistically buy dlc and then doesn't punish me for playing the game normally to get every character/thing (you know, like a REAL have) would be appreciated.

Lol at RTS, what RTS. This game is a travesty, and I dont see anyone that likes RTS games liking this at all. Only hardcore tf nuts willing to play bad games just to be able to play something tf will like this.
