When they stop having HasbroCons, can we start calling them HasbeenCons? Just wanted to get the jump on that...

    At least it's not HasCon.

I'm still in the camp that thinks HasbroCon and Cybertron Con will be two different conventions (a Transformers convention and a general Hasbro properties convention), so I'm looking forward to getting more info on this.

Not sure I've anything new to say that I didn't say when "Hascon" was trademarked, but I'll leave this comment here so my eye will be drawn to the thread when new comments come in.

Cool. If Hasbro's indeed doing a D23-style strategy, I can see it being an overall positive as they'll likely make the show a focal point for their product announcements.

Isn't that literally the exact same vague description the Hascon trademark had? XD

I'm going with the "Transformers gets it's own convention, and this is for everything else" idea.

We could also see some cool exclusive toys as well like making a TF set done in the vein of Botcon.

So is this purely because they realized HasCon is a terrible name?

I mean, we're not looking at two separate conventions here, are we?

I'd suspect from this that there is only going to be a single, D23-style Con, that covers all Hasbro brands.

That means we probably will only get 1 or 2 exclusives, similar to SDCC, since all other brands would most likelybe getting exclusives at the same time.
