Well, yeah...I love my Ollie so I guess that indicates my tolerance for less than indestructible products.

But I also own HT products, which come with a warning not to turn their heads a certain way.

Well this sucks for the people that were excited for this guy. Looks like a floppy/ugly mess. At least I knew with Badcube I was getting a quality figure, even if the transformation was finicky. This looks finicky in a worse way though. Shame......

I'm trying to think of who's left that would make something that matches my desired aesthetic, and I don't think there is anybody. I think it's pretty clear that it's not of FansToys' plate, which would leave MMC and MakeToys, and I don't particularly care for their MP aesthetics.

I'd very much trust anything Fanstoys produces. MMC and MT are both great companies, but their more Anime aesthetic sometimes doesn't work for me. FT on the other hand... I think I could get behind that.

After watching your video (thanks!), I'm actually kinda liking this guy. I don't mind a little fiddlyness, and I'm no stranger to having to tweak my figures to get them to hold together better.

Hmm... A 1st party, then two third parties? Fanstoys, MMC and Maketoys would make great third party figures if they came out before the official. It sucks that TCP's video came out after I bought Spinout. The floppiness bugs me a lot.

After watching the review, the head issues are no worse then Track's and Roadrage's floating head and actually may be a bit better, since it actually has some means of locking in place. The floppy legs are not great, but likely an easy fix with Future. The plastic wheels will match official Masterpiece toys and the lack of good rolling is a precedent started by Takara.

No, you aren't allowed to like this guy. you must hate on him at every opportunity, take passive/aggressive jabs at him, and talk about how you're going to overpay to get a BC SunDuck off ebay.

Any liking of spinout is strictly forbidden.

My company of choice to tackle Sunstreaker would be MMC. I really like everything they've done so far in MP style.

Yeah, I asked if I could get a new figure, since it seems I got a turd.

Otherwise, I need two new legs. He also needs a new arm because it snapped off the thin pin when I was playing with him this morning. They might as well just send another figure to be honest.

IF Chimungmung sends another figure, does anyone want my first, broken copy? :lol  He can be custom fodder. We'll see :)

^ Yeah, that's been on my mind the last week or so too. Especially after so many retailers went immediate deep discount. Must be a super bummer, all that work that went into it, and so many changes and delays, dang.

It started off as a great design though, and I think everyone has basically said for a first fig it's quite an accomplishment though, so I hope he takes that part to heart, and learns from the other issues/critiques for the next one.

It's a fair review, and doesn't really seem at all "bad". It's passable and not overly terrible as early photos and reviewer made it out to be. Yeah, weirdness on some designs and engineering. The front wheels, they can pop off and is screwed on. Yeah, adjustable with a screw instead of being pinned on. I suppose it can be glued on permanently if one doesn't want them to pop off. Looseness and tolerances don't seem that bad either. Could be easily tighten up. He can hold poses. I thought it was so bad that if you look at it wrong, it will fall over and collapse kind of thing. It's doesn't look like it's Sonicron bad which is the standard I use for extremely bad figure. Sucks for anyone that had to pay full price. But at the discounted $70 price, it seems like a fair display piece.

    Meh.
It's not as overall bad looking as I assumed. But buying a Sunstreaker with finish issues goes against the character to his Lasercore.

If later I can get one for 30 or 40 bucks to repaint I might take it on as a project. Maybe make a police version.

That was horrible. Cringe inducing, really. (The figure, not your review. That was quite good, in fact.)

When that floor panel flexed like that, this overwhelming feeling of dread came over me. Then I decided to watch the rest of the video and felt vindicated in my belief.

Loose legs, flexing plastic, odd color matches, seams don't seem to line up, it apparently feels like a KO... So incredibly disappointed.

Why shouldn't Omni come back and read them? He or she can use it as proof that KFC fucked' em over. Omni's design isn't the problem, it's the materials used and the build quality, both of which are KFC's problem. Omni had no control over the factory cutting corners and using shit materials to take what was a GREAT design and turning it into this pile of rubbery KO junk.

I hope this teaches everyone a lesson... Let KFC make their own figures, don't contract them to make yours. They'll screw you.

I'm so incredibly disappointed in KFC right now.

Since when is flexible plastic bad? It's better than snapped plastic.
