These still look terrible.
Well... the Blaster looks decent, although still not good.

 

You know, having a mini robot would not be a Takara buy for me, now if they include bomber, I would buy the Takara one (assuming the price wasn't outrageous).

 

I think the best you're gonna get from Takara is a better looking Ginrai headmaster and steel gray plastic. Not sure that'll be worth the price of admission but it might be to someone.

I like these, mistransforming aside. Seems obvious that the photographer didn't even bother to transform Blaster. just pulled him out of the box in 'robot mode' and didn't bother to fold his handle down.

Part of me really wants to make a Motormaster out of that Powermaster Prime...

Hope the grey plastic color is misleading. If not, ouch...especially on Optimus.

Optimistic about Takara's entry. Bet this figure is even cooler with all those details filled in.  

 

Powermaster Optimus...that one I'm definitely getting. Actually, it likely will be the only I'm getting from the TW line. But I'm going TT because it will likely be better painted and importing a TT figure is often cheaper than importing the Hasbro version or buying it in a local shop (if available).

But it will definitely need some work in filling in all those glaringly hollow parts that have no place on a leader class figure (or a voyager even).

 

When you consider that Takara has still not shown off their version of PMOP and there is a rumor that there will be an Apex armor coming out I would expect that Takara's PMOP will not only have a better paint job but it will come with the extra trailer as well. However, since Takara is now showing off product that wont come out until the end of the year i would not expect Takara's PMOP to come out until some time in 2017.

 

Definitely craving that Master Blaster.

 

Proportions are good, but those hollow limbs...ugh...

 

For me, they could not have screwed up that blaster any more than that. Guess I'm finally getting the KFC one.

A couple years ago, I would have laughed at the belief that Takara's PMOP might be drastically different or better than Hasbro's, outside of the obvious paint improvements. But after Armor Knight Optimus and Titan Devastator, I can't rule anything out anymore.

 

If you preordered from BBTS, they should have shipped by now. I got a notification from UPS that the set I ordered is coming in tomorrow. So excited for both of these. Can't figure out which I'm more excited for. Probably Blaster, since I have Ultra Magnus and Optimus is similar.

 

You preordered both of them? I've had the Case of 2 preordered since last month and I haven't gotten any notices yet, did you preorder the case or did you get them individually?

 

I ordered the case. Optimus was sold out individually. I didn't get a notification from BBTS. I get emails from UPS telling me that they'll be delivering a package the next day, and it usually tells me the name of the company shipping it. This one says Cokem International, which I assume could only be affiliated with BBTS, since it would say if it was amazon, tru, or anything else, and I haven't ordered from anywhere else outside of ebay.

Also, all the other preorders for the end of May came out on Tuesday, so this is the only thing left. Their website said May 2016, and I assumed it would be end of the month. You'll probably get it around the same time.

 

Don't think it is BBTS, they do send you a notification stuff has come into stock.
