Now we just need one or two more 3P guys to show their "not - MP Jazz" for Takara to get off their asses and finally reveal theirs.

This one doesn't look bad though.

 

The input from everyone here simply demenstrates how much a high quality MP scaled Jazz is needed. Not sure why so many companies are avoiding this. They'd make some serious $$$.

 

Door wings are hopefully optional. I can't see this being a good MP substitute without that.

 

Truthfully I think this will look really nice with the TFM menasor set. I'll certainly have a place to put it when the inevitable MP official comes out.

I'm becoming a sucker for modernized alt modes with heavy G1 influenced bots. GT does this well, and I like them in MP scale so I can mix the collection. To the purist it's heresy, but my collection is mine so  

 

The thing I really like is the detailing on his arms and legs. They look so good and well-thought out.

Probably looks terrifying to people accustomed to MP Ironhide and Inferno...

 

Hopefully it doesnt come at the expense of detail on his car panels.


Yeah, if they fill out that torso better, that's a pretty solid bot mode. Car mode can always use more paint and details, attention to detail on the wheels, etc.

Ok, I only just now realized/saw the "giant gaping empty torso" previously mentioned---and I have to ask---so why don't the tires go in there? There's more than enough room.

 

I could be wrong, but looking at it I believe the "hollow" torso is an optical illusion.

 

Even if the torso gap is real, it is no where near as unnerving to me as CW Brawl's accordion hinge waist thing. Man, that really bugs me. This guy and TNR Hova are at the top of my list. I can give them a pass on the gap.

nah. We all know how the story will go. Takara won't announce theirs until MMC, Maketoys, FansToys, or Badcube announces theirs first.

 

I'm really liking how this is turning out so far. Definitely need to keep my eye on this project.

 

Yeah, just look at Mirage. DX9 and MMC have done theirs, MMC even did two repaints (light blue and Liger red) and still nothing from Takara.

 

Same thing with MP Insecticons. FansToys and Badcube have done thiers. MMC's is on the way.
