This... is a nice ass toy. I had to loosen the screws for his thigh-sliders just a touch, but he is nowhere near as overtightened and scary-squeaky as Sever was. The transformation is only tricky insofar as you need to make sure things happen in the right order and all the slots and pegs make it a rock solid little Apatosaurus.

The tab on the gun is crap, but his fingers as so strong that he still holds it firmly anyway... anyone else got that issue?

I'm keeping the Blue eyes, my MP Dinobots are Season 1/2 cartoon style: Blue eyed, dumb as bricks, and virtually unstoppable until you put a gestalt in play to keep them occupied. :)

Stomp is glorious! Thanks again to Madhaus Toys in Toronto! No QC issues, Fans Toys best yet! I was really surprised by how big the sword is.

    YEP. thank you

they are delightful, really work well as like a matt painting background instead of just having wall color show through the case

I saw a review by Peaugh about hip locks, but in the 5 minutes I had to hold mine before work, I didn't notice them.

Did it not make it past the test shots?

If not, why do they have tabs for it? Or are the tabw for dino mode? I have not transformed him with them yet...

    So.

How do you even begin to critique a figure like this?

There are no glaring QC issues. It has chrome and diecast at a $200 price point for a figure roughly 3x the size of TT's lazerwave @$150. Has lighting gimmicks, heavy ratchets, etc.

This is FTs best work by far. This surpasses the current TT offerings and sets a new bar for what a MP product should be. This is what $200 should buy you in a collectors grade product. We have a heavy hitter for 2016 and he is set to stomp all over the competition.

Please let Grinder be better than Stomp, FT. Please.
I don't know how it can get better but I want it to be.

A freak earthquake knocked your shelf on it's side but, miraculously, your collection survived the fall... in place? A great day indeed, my friend.

    I'm jealous. I still haven't got mine.

I hope Grinder is the greatest figure ever built. I love Grimlock.

Okay guys, now that I have had Stomp for a few hours and played with him with the other Dinobots my honest :2c:  on Stomp is "BEST TRANSFORMER EVER CREATED" even if it is a 3rd Party one. This thing make MP08 Grimlock seem like a Playskool figure for toddlers(well not really but just not as detailed and huge).

Honestly guys I am almost half tempted to save some more money up and order a second Stomp,he just Blows My Mind how Massive he is at 16 inches long from head to tail.Oh and I have him (and the rest) in dino mode and he just blows the others away.FansToys just outdid themselves with Stomp, and absolutely no factory problems, joints are tight, holds his gun and sword with a death grip.

Also I have popped the top off his dino head and gave him those ridiculous googley eyes for a few minutes and I laughed my a** off,I have to admit those eyes are halfway stupid but I am so glad FansToys included them cause they do give Stomp a silly side.So in closing Stomp was worth every penny of $200 I paid for him.I just hope FansToys decides to go even further and create more Dinobots after Grinder, like the ones from Age of Extinction of a Velociraptor and Spinosaurus but in the G1 style like the rest of the DiBots,I bet they could pull it off.Later guys.

I have to admit, there seem to be so many variations of the same figure, I don't know which to buy.

Got this guy in today from the amazing folks at TCP! Sadly no time for pictures, but man I'm thrilled with him. Absolutely spot on everything including the face. No QC issues on initial inspection...paint, chrome, joints, all perfect. The packaging is phenomenal from UnicronWMD's awesome art to the tissue paper wrapped around all the chrome bits. God I love that (probably unhealthy) Styrofoam smell...like opening a freshly boxed NES in 1986 again :)

Oh and not sure if anyone has weighed him, but he comes in at 2.78 pounds on my scale with weapons in hand.

I was going to wait until payday this Friday, but I got an unexpected surprise bonus from my boss this weekend, so I bought mine this morning from BBTS and they've already shipped him out! If they keep up their recent trends, I should have him in-hand by Thursday!
