We have yet to see Takara use the CW Wheeljack,Trailbreaker and Hound figures yet as well as CW Sky Lynx so if it's any consolation if that's the next step.

 

Wait are they including extra Sky Dive/ Air Raid guns? Cuz that's actually kinda cool if they are. Air Raid especially accomodates a pair of those quite well and Sky Dive can at least be symmetrical in alt mode.

I think TakaraTomy's lack of head reuse might just be a coicidence. For a while it seemed like FunPub would never reuse a mold for Botcon until AM Thundercracker happened.
For Smokescreen though I can see it going any number of ways. I think they could straight up use the Prowl mold as is, or use Dead End with a Smokescreen head and maybe a new gun, or just detool the lightbar somehow.
Also in all fairness Hasbro hasn't reused THAT many heads. The ones I can think of (not counting G2 sets) are Prowl, Alpha Bravo, Slingshot, Brawl, Streetwise, Superion, and Optimus's combined mode head (though they did make a new head for Optimus himself). There was absolutely,no head sharing for the first three sets, the fourth reused the aforementioned combined mode head, and the fifth reused Slingshot. Up until Computron there was only one head reuse per set.
