Call of Duty 2016 Coming Q4 From Infinity Ward - IGN And now it's Infinity Ward's turn. This is going to be rough one, after all IW hasn't been the same since MW2, and MW3 and Ghosts are arguably the franchise's weakest entries. So IW has A LOT to prove with this one. Let the fans hope that the extra year of development did them some good. So this could either be a continuation of Modern Warfare or a sequel to Ghosts. So let the year of flak begin.
I enjoyed the campaign, Squads and Extinction (especially chaos mode) in Ghosts. I'm one of the rare few who liked what the game offered. I think the DLC maps were good too. I'm looking forward to it regardless of whether it's MW4 or Ghosts 2.
Extinction and Campaign were the only enjoyable parts of Ghosts IMO. MW3 was certainly a step down from MW2, but I still found it fun. If it's gonna be a Ghosts 2 (which it most likely will be due to the cliffhanger from Ghosts 1's ending), IW better know to fix the terrible multiplayer (Oh and make a season 2 for Extinction mode while you're at it).
The title for next CoD seems to have leaked and it seems to be.... Infinite Warfare.... Really? I was fine with Advanced Warfare, but this? That is just beyond lazy! The whole Warfare subtitle is getting old, unless they decided that was going to be their 'thing'. A reveal is coming next week. And if this is true(and likely it is), Ghosts is officially dead to me. Useless they decided to resolve that cliffhanger via a comic book, I don't want anything more to do with it.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Could Include a Modern Warfare Remaster - IGN Well that's one way to get more people interested.
Wow I almost hated everything from that trailer. More Futuristic combat, a terrible cover of David Bowie's Space Oddity, reminds me of Killzone in some parts. Then the cod 4 remastered part was shown and I think that looks way better than Infinite Warfare.
I think at this point they're trying to see who can make a more interesting future setting. Looks fun enough... But that title. Super lazy. And that Remaster, I want that. I want it so bad! Too bad they didn't have time to do the entire trilogy.
Actually interested in this one, though I appear to be the minority. The campaign looks interesting, though I'm a sucker for sci-fi shooters that go beyond Earth. Some of the non-Earth environments looked pretty nice, and can't go wrong with space battles (hopefully). I never actually played the Modern Warfare campaign so that'l be nice as well.
I can't give less of a fuck about the full blown Titanfall/Halo/any sci-fi shooter ever that is Infinite Warfare but holy hell is that COD4 remaster looking amazing. I'll pay $80 just for that since Activision would be incredibly stupid to split it apart, considering COD4 is gonna move more copies of that game than IW will on its own.
COD has some of the best set pieces in all of video games. And damn if they can't put together a fantastic trailer! I hope MW is a download code so I can play the new campaign, trade it in for near full credo after just a few days and keep MW.
The Remaster is not getting a physical release. Only with certain version of IW, or d/l on One/Ps4. But at least it has Multiplayer, sooooooooooooooo
Trailer was very bland IMO. I kinda feel like if they're gonna have a new storyline in space here, they should just go all in and have aliens as the enemy, because at least then it would be goofy enough for me to laugh at. This was just meh. As it is it just looks like a mashup of Advanced Warfare/Black Ops 3/Titanfall to me so far. They got me with the damn COD4 remaster though.
I normally defend Call of Duty because they are usually solid, well-made games regardless of the hate they get due to Activision and it's annual release policy. While the setpieces do look fun as usual, I just can't get excited for this. The novelty of a futuristic Call of Duty has completely worn off. It looks exactly like the last few games but with spaceships now. Even Modern Warfare was technically set in the future at the time of release. Let's not forget that Infinity Ward's last game was Ghosts, and that was the worst Call of Duty game yet in my opinion. Advanced Warfare was better than it had any right to be. I have yet to actually play Black Ops 3, but the story severely disappointed me, and the Black Ops games are the ones I care about most at this point.
