We have this fast food chain called Sunset Boulevard in my region. Absolutely love their burgers as they actually contain a fair amount of salad and the likes, unlike McDonald's and Burger King. Of course the beef patties are pretty delicious too and the buns are nice and crispy ciabatta bread. Alternatively you can get your burger in a wholegrain bun instead. They used to offer almost nothing but sandwiches, but suddenly they decided to offer burgers as well. No complaints from me on that decision!
Wendys was not even in consideration until last year, when Baconator Fries came out. Love those. Taco Bell for the Nachos. I wouldn't count pricier places as fast food...but Five Guys has the best burgers and plain fries.
Yeah they are good but not great, and I agree it's overpriced. They need to have a $8 or $9 meal deal. I'm not a fan of toasted cheesesteak subs. Steak and cheese is supposed to be nice and soft and gooey not all crunchy (and not in a good way). There was a joint out there called The Great Steak and Potato company that had a good cheesesteak for a chain, but they are hard to find outside of airports. The fries are great but the burgers are always burnt to a cinder. A lot of places have this problem but 5 guys is one of the worst. That's one of the reasons I rarely get fast food burgers.
Chick Fil A gets my vote. I love their sandwiches and tenders. My second vote would have to go to Noodles & Company. Their Japanese Pan Noodles are the best noodles I've ever tasted. Great Steak is at all of the Malls around me, even if one of them isn't in use thanks to that Mall's almost-completely vacant nature. I should probably try them some time soon.
I apparently voted for McDonald's a while ago, but the ones in my area seem to have gone downhill recently. My vote goes to Taco Bell now because I love tacos, burritos, and related items, and the one near my college has been good to me and my friends for the last few months of Taco Tuesdays.
