My Latest custom is a simple (at least I thought it would be at first, became a bit more involved than I thought) repaint of Slipstream in classics form. I apologize for the lousy pics. When I find my photo light box I will take better pics because these pics really don't do it justice. I am very pleased on how this came out!

Parts were from BOTCON Bitstream and Hotlink.
Main Body, Legs and Vertical Wings - Hotlink
Main Wings and Horizontal Tail Wings - Bitstream.

    Paints:
    Tamiya (Spray cans)
    # PS-51 - Anodized Aluminum Purple
    # PS-49 - Anodized Aluminum Sky Blue

    Testors Silver Chrome (Brush)

Looks beautiful. Too bad there aren't more feminine head choices for this mold.

Thanks. I used Tamiya Metallic paints. The base figure was parts from Botcon Hotlink and Bitstream. Yea the cost may have been a bit high, but it was worth it. Using those two pieces with these paints the figure turned out awesome looking. So to me it was worth it.

This looks really good. I love Seekers. I'm a big fan of Tamiya metallic too, would you mind sharing which specific ones you used? Thanks

Yea I actually used the anodized aluminum Purple # PS-51 and Anodized Aluminum Sky Blue # PS-49. They were $15 USD each, but man they were worth every penny. For Silver I just used Testors silver chrome. I did not use a top coat at all, just doesn't need it.

IT would have been nice to have a more feminine head for this, but like you said nothing out there that fits without a bunch of modding.

Nice custom, but was there much point in using two high-demand BotCon figures if you were going to paint over most of the figure? If you needed dark base plastics, Classics Skywarp probably would have been a more considerate choice.

Wait... you did use 2 hard to find Botcon figures to make a custom???

That's having the balls... also, that is stupidly dangerous... Still, nice custom, but I think you should had gotten an Classics Starscream instead...

The point was the base colors of the figures themselves were perfect for what I needed. The paint, one coat is semi transparent mixing with the base color of the figure beautifully. It turned out better than expected. Well worth it to me.
