About BANDAI | BANDAI America Inc. - find toys for Power Rangers, Ben 10, Pac-Man, TechPet, and Various Other Action Figures and Toys. no response yet but still hopeful
TRU just sent out 20% off coupons for a Friends and Family event this weekend for 20% off your entire purchase. Works both in-store and online. Knocks $40 off the Thunderzord, $12 off the Falconzord. At $48 and no tax (yay Oregon) I'm definitely going to scoop up the Falconzord. Edit: Just got a $5 Rewards certificate too, so $43 Falconzord here I come Man, it always pays to wait on these Legacy zords.
Well, my MiniPla Zyuoh Wild arrived today, and he's a pretty nifty looking lil bugger! Might add some paint to this guy!
It is done. The 20% coupon saved me $40. AND there was another one on the shelf that I traded out for. The number stamps were different, so I hope that I got the second run figure. Either way, sucks for the other guy who eventually buys the one I put back, thinking it is a second run...
The updated version has nubs on the silver leg covers connected to the unicorn and griffin zords. It really does help with the stability.
For those curious as I was: https://youtu.be/tDpEHYbQ0n8 I contacted BBTS to see if Bandai had been in communication with them about possible replacement parts. We'll see what their response is.
FYI, tho, they now like to pop off during transformation. Those hinge joints will eventually wear down if they keep popping off like that. Not sure about the Red Dragon Zord, but mine seems to hold its poses better than the first run I've seen in reviews. Makes me wonder if they used less oil on the joints as well.
At least they are made to pop off, and even required to for the Mega Tigerzord, so maybe they will hold up?
Last night I got out my Dragonzord and original Megazord, and man, after the more recent releases, I've started to realize how unimpressive the original Megazord is. Stickers instead of paint, minimal detail, etc. Would love to see it redesigned with the same care that's come out of the Dragon, Tiger, and Thunder Zords.
If they do, I'd prefer it kicks off a line of articulated Megazords. I think just buying the same thing with paint instead of stickers wouldn't justify my purchase at this point.
Aren't there going to be articulated mini megazords included with the new legacy ranger figures on a zord by zord basis from what I read?
