Sounds pretty wacky, whether true or not. Then again, wasn't the script for VIII said to be very 'out there' compared to previous entries?
Well, it has been reported that Rian Johnson would be going places and investigating different things that have never been done in Star Wars before. This would certainly be different if true.
Kinda sounds like Avatar/Korra. It's certainly sounds cool since I'm a huge fan of that mythos and the Avatar backstory. Personally I wouldn't be too opposed to it. Also, how do you guys prefer they do Yoda? CGI or puppet? I recall back in the day Frank Oz was down with the transition to CGI. But if they did a puppet, it better be a damn good one, not like that one in TPM. CGI has progressed light years since TPM, of course.
The CGI Yoda in the latter-day editions of Ep. I was so good it took me a minute to realize WTF THEY REPLACED THE PUPPET WITH CGI, lol. So I'm cool with it.
I remember seeing one of those old teaser trailers for TPM a few months back, that puppet Yoda was terrible. In the OT, though, that thing was done so well.
I agree! I'm totally for this. I'd prefer this story, fake or not, to Luke being Rey's father. It would also play some major mind games with Kylo Ren as well as some fans given that Ren is seen looking to Darth Vader for inspiration from the Dark Side.
I really, really don't think any of that is true. On the other hand, people say they don't want a retread of Empire Strikes Back, and that's no retread.
Well, it WOULD poetically echo the whole Vader revelation right on schedule, fwiw. And it sounds a LOT like the Resistance will be on the run while a young Jedi gets trained by an elderly master, regardless of the validity of the leak. All of which I am perfectly happy to accept. :)
That reminds me too much of Avatar: The Last Airbender for me to not want it to be true. Some might find it ridiculous, though, and it is probably not true. That Spoiler "No, you are my father" sounds kind of bad.
It sounds a little too Avatar-y but I'd buy it. I'm sure they would handle it well. I guess in a way it could also parallel ESB, kinda.
That sounds... interesting. I'm not really sure how I feel about it. Certainly seems plausable as a continuation from TFA. Could be crap, could be great. If this is true, than I think it'll come down to execution and the other elements of the film, rather than what we get just based on this description.
The Spoiler Rey/Anakin thing has been speculation for a while now. It certainly makes some sense -- between her quickly emerging force abilities (with no training) and the fact that Spoiler Anakin's saber called out to her . It works for me, as long as they pull it off right.
I'm down... except that it would make the entire saga all about Anakin / Vader. At some point I'd like to get past that.
