Highly, HIGHLY disagree.

The sprue marks are simply due to the molds age. See MP-Ramjet.

And the deco differences between the TT and Hasbro molds are negligible and mostly a matter of preference.

Now, if both were the same price go for the TT release because it was released earlier when the molds were in better shape but them being the same price is highly unlikely. The Hasbro version is excellent for what it was.

 

What did you expect? This isn't charity (for most people) and market value is market value. Awesome for those that helped you search.

But hey, I hope you get lucky, I'd hope to if I were in your shoes.

I fucking hate scalpers ... But the TRU SS saga has opened my eyes to the reality that when something is primarily bought by scalpers to begin with, you're basically fucked ... Take me for example, I wanted a cheap MIB Screamer to serve as a back up in case the ol lady attacked my TF display (which has happened unfortunately, but that's another story) ... Well after searching in vain at local TRUs and the Internet ... I was only able to nab one for like $125 ... Still $75 cheaper than Takara but at this point I'd never left go of it for less than $150 after all this bs/$$ I had to go through just to get the damn fig in the first place ...

 

Yeah, just to clarify, TCracker said there would be re-issues of MP-13 and MP-11 in they year, following up on the re-issues of Wheeljack and Ultra Magnus ...

I never, EVER said I was expecting to get a Starscream for $65. Everyone knows that is completely unrealistic. I just hope for a little fellow collector understanding is all. There is a big difference between making a deal and being a jackass. Higher than $65? Of course. It unfortunately has to come with the turf. $200? No fucking way. Might as well get the Takara.

 

That's the fandom for ya, no in between. People think that just because you don't want one thing, you must want the complete polar opposite. "You don't want to pay outrageous scalper prices? Clearly you're unreasonably expecting someone to sell it to you at a loss for half retail price."

 

Shouldn't this back and forth be in the Toy Discussion section? Arguments about secondary market pricing aren't really news worthy.

Angry posts like this calling people you don't even know assholes, because they've priced a toy you want to buy too high may just may inadvertently cause sympathy for you to evaporate- even in this relatively polite fan forum.

Its such a wild concept to grasp- and I've certainly been accused before of some pretty out there thinking!  

 

If it makes you feel better, i sold mine MISB for $80 (or something like that) shipped. It was on BST for a good month before it sold. The $80 didn't cover for the gas, time and effort I made to find Starscream. And that's not including the cost of the toy itself.

I don't know how many phone calls I made. The 2 hours of me driving across town. The stress of traffic here in Dallas. Most importantly, the 2hrs I lost that I could of been playing with my 2 children, fishing or just plan relaxing from a hard days work.

So I would totally understand why someone would charge $150.
