That's what I thought too. I don't see how you'd get a dual-rotor chopper from the Blurr mold. I'm curious who they'd repaint/retool him as, though I'm sure there's an obscure character they can get out of him.

I'm a bit miffed Apeface and Flywheels are mini-vehicles as opposed to Voyagers (as all the TCs in this line are Voyagers it seems), but I'm content with what we got.

Function-X did a nice job as a gap filler, but uh...sorry, FP.

 

I gotta ask, does anyone else think wolfwire has limited articulation? Trying to find an excuse to keep my quad u hehehe.

Alternatively who could they remold or repaint him to be besides that wolf dude from cybertron?

 

I want a proper Flywheels, Duocon so bad!

It doesn't look like his wolf mode head will be able to move aside from using the transformation joint to pull his head off his neck. Can't speak to the limbs.

But yeah, BW Silverbolt and Cybertron Snarl are the only ones I can think of. Oh, and Carnivac from the Mayhem Attack Squad

 

What about Overbite? Overbite (Classics - Transformers Wiki)

Another one I can think of is Noble Savage...

 

How about other 4 legged beastformers like Cheetor, for example or Lio Convoy.

It could easily be retooled to be a homage to a cat themed beast.

Lio Junior as the head and Lio Convoy the body? Stranger things have happened.

 

These things....they just make me happy! They do my G1 heart good. I missed out on the Headmasters line as a kid and I'm so glad that Hasbro is bringing them back!

Highbrow is an absolute must have. Totally badass in both modes. Wolfwire looks good too, but I'm personally more partial to Highbrow.

I wonder if Wolfwire can hold his gun in his hand as well as mount it on his shoulder? Looks like it to me...?

I like that the deluxe's all come with 2 weapons. It's a nice touch and for me adds some greater value for money with the figures. These TR figs have a ton of playability and pose ability which again, makes for good value.

Oh, and I am so getting Apeface Jr.! He's awesome.

 

I did a quick trademark search online. Anyone wondering why Highbrow's partner is Xort, it is probably because 20th Century Fox trademarked the name in the toy category.. for Day The Earth Stood Still toys. I still can't figure why they don't use Weirdwolf and Monzo. Neither is trademarked as toys. Weirdwolf was briefly owned by Marvel as a comic character, but they abandoned the name.

Highbrow looks great.

Wolfwire looks good my only complaint is the wolf head.

Alpha Trion robot mode looks good i was hoping for more of a G1 look.
Beast mode looks ok. I am very glad he as a ship mode.

Astrotrain looks good if he was colored more like G1 he would look even better.

Groove is great i really want him for Defensor.

Computron just looks terrible definitely getting Takara theirs looks way better.

 

-I'm not gonna lie, I've waited for an accurate update to G1 Highbrow(and many other TFs of his era) for decades, and I couldn't be happier. This Highbrow(and Gort/Xort) are nothing less than perfection for a non-MP.

-I don't have as much nostalgia for Weirdwolf, but I'm glad to see more updated beastformers. Guess they're making up for the lack of beasts in Combiner Wars, and they're doing it well. Looks like a very nice update for the character.

-"Apeface" is a cute little Spasma update, and he comes with an awesome G1 Apeface homage as a vehicle. Given the circumstances, this'll do till we get a proper Apeface.

-Brawn is cute and unexpected, and I like him. Sure he's not G1-accurate, but I'm okay with that. It's not like this'll be the last Brawn figure ever, after all.

-Okay, so a new character named "Clobber" is... Grimlock's Headmaster. To me, that just LEAKS awesome. The concept of putting Clobber onto a random bot to imbue it with Grimlock's personality...  

-I kinda want a Flywheels to go with Skytread now. Like, a legitimate Flywheels Headmaster bulk. And Skytread could ride in either the airplane or the tank, Overlord-style. That would be awesome. As for the actual Skytread figure... meh, at least till we see his vehicle/beast.

 

I love that and would buy the crap out of it, only reason i could see Hasbro NOT doing it would be that they don't want to release the mold 2X in Blue. It'd be sweet to see them tap the G1.5 European characters though in this line, seems like there'd be some easy repaint from some of the Headmaster/Powermaster/Targetmaster guys into Turbomasters and Predators.

did you see the digibash someone did on here of UW Strafe into Topspin? it was fairly uncanny.

YES! even though they missed the major opportunity for a Combiners Wars version of Rotorstorm.

I hope they do so. Though I'll probably get Takara Hardhead and Skullcruncher.

First I'd like to say Hasbro has been kicking ass ever since John Warden has taken over design branch manager (or something like that). And titan wars does NOT disappoint! I'm still going with Takaras decos (as long as the yen doesn't jump up in value like few years back) I luuurrvvv Blurr and Scourges deco from them. But even those I'll probably pick up all the hasbros and takaras.

I know those are engineered perfectly! Cant wait for this line!

Also have you seen Takaras Blurr? Looks fantastic buy I agree on the PICTUR anway makes hasbros look pretty bland.

All of the beast mode headmasters are right out for me since I've seen more up to date photos. Just big flip of the animal mode head onto the back. Very, very lazy transformations from where I sit.

 

EVERY Titans Return deluxe is very very simple, often in "lazy" or expected ways. Highbrow transforms just like Skullcruncher except with LESS twists.

Mindwipe's wing/legs are the most inventive thing transformation wise out of all the deluxes.

 

These figures look excellent so far, really tempted to collect some of those Titan Masters, and a few of the larger ones to go with them.
