I didn't mean to pull a "FUCK PRIME" post or anything to disparage the show years after it's ended, I just found this short story really great is all, and would have loved to see it animated.

Did a lot of people have some really toxic things to say about Prime during its heyday? I wasn't interested in Transformers until mid 2014.

Honestly Kinda actually.

 

I'm sorry to hear it. I have to say I wasn't on the boards back then but in the circles I traveled, a lot of people accused me of hating the show and told me to stop watching or stop talking about it just for critiquing aspects of it, so my experiences were the opposite.

I truthfully love discussing this kind of thing with receptive people, but I don't want to upset anyone.

Somebody more patient than me did a death count of Vehicons in the show, and even if you count this EU as canon, Optimus spared a grand total of 2. In the opening five parter alone, 38 vehicons died onscreen.

I mean it's a war, hey, it happens. People die.

 

That's a nice little comic, there. Good with staying in character for Prime and Airachnid, and Steve gets his little heroic moment.  

But this is Prime Optimus, not Movie-verse Optimus!  

 

And that was how Optimus and Gary became friends...Fans of Emgo will get that joke.

 

It's nothing new to the Transformers fandom  You should have been here during and before Transformers Animated. Man, it was like, erm, the Beastwars and 07 Movie Prime days again  Fun.
