Ignoring that all Generations toys are Headmasters for the next year or so, Scourge was also released by Takara as a Tokyo Toy Show exclusive and there's an upcoming Voyager-class Laser Prime that could potentially become a Scourge in the future

And seriously, why would any be ignorant enough to think these are being made "instead of" something else? They're blindpacked toys at an entirely different price-range. They're not replacing anything. Seriously, non-mainline toys like these have been a Transformers staple since forever.

With all that being said I really want the Megatron.

In terms of chibi cuteness Q-formers work better for me.

 

Cute, probably will pick a few of these up.  

 

I'd be surprised if Takara released these too and painted them better. But with Q-Transformer on their market, I doubt it'll happen.
