I would have thought a repaint of the upcoming Galvatron voyager would have worked better.

Rodimus desperately needs an update too but could have slapped the Alternators version in instead I guess.

 

A 2 pack of Voyager Galvatron and the old Energon Rodimus mold would have worked also.

Or do Voyager Galvatron and release the Voyager E-Hobby Rodimus that never saw a US release. Bam, perfect, fans would have flipped their shit.

 

I don't disagree but IIRC this set was well in the works before Titan Wars Galvatron was ready. I'm actually surprised this set was revealed well after Titan Wars Galvatron and that we didn't see this set sooner.

Actually Universe/Classics 2.0 Galvatron was originally designed as an Ultra class quad-changer.

 

They may have wanted to only use Deluxe molds though.

 

While I had no interest in that figure, I think this would have been really better.

This. Wow, we never saw this one coming. We knew there was a Platinum Rodimus/Galvatron box set, but it never even occurred to me that someone at Hasbro would suffer a minor stroke and choose Titanium Rodimus for the set.

 

Because the person who said it mistook the first Titanium transforming Megatron for Hearts of Steel Megatron. It wasn't. It was a Megatron inspired by the Dreamwave GI Joe version of Megatron. And it WAS a awful toy that fell apart if you look at it wrong. And Nevermore wasn't the one who said it.

Tutanium Rodimus was one of the more well done Titanium releases IMO. Not great but still ok for the line.

 

And may I add YOTS Omega Supreme?

I know alot of boys loved that release.  

 

while I never had Titanium Rodimus, using this particular Galvatron mold doesn't seem like the best idea. Then again, there aren't many other molds that COULD be used for Galvatron...

 

Banking on G1 nostalgia to sell a rehash of Rodimus and Galvatron that do not resemble their G1 counterparts while offering up a matrix that cannot be held by the version of Rodimus they're selling.

All that was shown was lineart a few years back.

 

While not perfect that would have been much better! Still not sure why they didn't just make a new Rodimus for the anniversary, they did one for Galvatron after all
