I have literally zero need for this set. But I still kinda want it. Stupid sexy boxset...

 

I need it cause I missed out on Magnus, Springer, Kup and Blurr.

I'd keep them and sell Arcee cause I have the Animated version.

Lucky for me (and the toys) I'm poor, so I won't have to deal with that

 

Wow, I forgot how bad the original Kup head was.

This set is great! If I didn't already own all these molds I'd be tempted. The repaints and packaging are beautiful.

The only things I would have done differently, would be to give Arcee her pistols instead of her blades (assuming omitting anything was even necessary), and I would have preferred Ultra Magnus' rifles be white or light, light-gray. As others have suggested, Minimus Ambus as Arbulus would have been perfect! I hope Blurr's three rifles were not all left out. Also, he needed a non-IDW head like the one on the re-molded Armada Blurr with the G1 head. Years ago I did a simple mod and head-swap involving some trimming to the mushroom peg and it turned out well for me.

As is, Blurr is bright & shiny, Kup looks perfect, Springer is cool & metallic, Arcee lost the ugly black, and Magnus has his wheels finally painted. It is a shame that only "Platinum" figures get what should be standard paint applications. Overall, I like this set, but will sadly be passing on it.

Nice with the painted rim! I missed that section since there was no UM vehicle mode in the Official Image link. All the other guys have their Official Alt.mode image except UM. I had to go back to the conventional pic to see his alt. mode.

Overall, I love UM new colors, his blue is darker and shiner, the white is more thicker/richer, and now with a painted rim and waist. This made the previous Gen UM release looks very cheap.

These look great, Springer especially.

That art though-- I guess this means we're getting Windblade two years in a row at SDCC? Just what I always wanted... (Edit: Was going down the news in order.. Yep, there she is.)

 

Decos are really nice but I already own all of these figures.

Still this is great for a new collector.

 

Man they missed a GREAT opportunity to turn that Minimus Ambus into Daniel...

 

I literally just preordered Legends Blurr from HLJ last night, and own Generations Blurr, and I still want this one. It looks fantastic, especially in alt mode.

My only nits I'd pick with this set is I find the gold on Springer weird, and that Ultra Magnus didn't get corrected colors for his weapons like the Legends version and that they didn't do something more appropriate with Minimus.

Otherwise the decos look pretty dang spectacular.

I was thinking the same thing. I never liked the version used here. (I like the IDW version he's inspired by, but this never quite lived up to it).

I was tempted for a minute, but I like my ehobby exclusive Kup better, and besides my wonderful custom painted Springer I also really like the current takara version (probably better than this).

It's cool though. If they'd stuck new Blurr in there it might have pushed me over (maybe).

 

Well I kind of want this just for Arcee and Blurr, since I already have Kup, Magnus, & Springer so another ones are great for a Wreckers Display.

 

I own none of these molds, but I don't want to spend over $130 on this. I have such a raging nostalgia boner for anything related to the 86 movie so If I see it in a target, I'll probably do the wrong thing and buy it.
