I was considering that but the entire forearm won't fold in properly either due to the shoulder not sitting flush.

 

I've just received him. I was very nervous unboxing him, but I'm happy to say that I didn't notice any issues. Proper right and left null rays, cluster bombs and shoulder placement. No scratches on insignias! All landing gear wheels present
I’ve just transformed him into jet mode and there were no issues. White paint scratches very easily from the black parts, but I can live with this  .

One question for the alternative top of the wings transformation. Is it really possible to put them up without detaching it from the hinge? His arms seem to block them from rotating…

 

Mine was double taped from TCP.it arrived yesterday. My figure is almost flawless except for some white paint chipping from where the wing piece rubs against the back diecast part. I needed to tighten some screws (both knee caps, and chest sliding mechanism).

Overall impression: I like the figure. Cool retool of an already existing mould. Plastic feels of lesser quality when compared to my Hasbro Starscream. The jet nose cone/back panel solution is a disappointment as it has nowhere to tab into.
Definitely not TT's best effort.

Got mine from Agabyss, and shoulders were fine. The only thing I can really gripe about is that one of the shin pieces takes more effort than the other to pop out. Other than that, mine appears to be a-ok (thank goodness - I did not want to mess with disassembling the shoulders).

 

Mine is pretty good QC wise but does have the reversed shoulders. Man...not sure if I should try to get a replacement...try to fix it....or just live with it. It feels like I'm just as likely to get a replacement with the same or worst problems. I guess I'll transform him and see how bad it is before doing anything else.  

 

Sorry to everyone having issues with your Ramjets. It's really inexcusable for the money. And those of you willing to do fixes or simply overlook the problems, I give you credit. Like I said yesterday, I'll be sending mine back ASAP if there's anything major on mine. This thing is too overpriced to live with or having to fix QC failures.

 

Yeah, it sucks that this thing is having so many QC issues. Mine is great (it came from TTMall but I don't see why that would make a difference...but I can't imagine trying to get this taken care of if it had something wrong with it), and I'm enjoying it quite a bit more than I thought I would. I had buyer's remorse after ordering it, but now that I have it in hand I think it's pretty spectacular.

It's interesting that of the two Takara figures I just got it's Ramjet and not Shockwave that I'm enjoying the most.

 

Man, I have never seen this level of QC issues before. I've got everything post MP10, and the worst I've received was that the nose of HotRodimus was really badly painted with some scuffs and bubbles of paint.

I'm seriously nervous about this. I wouldn't be able to fix it myself, I'm sure of that. If I knew that this figure would be done again at a later date, I'd probably cancel before finding out my luck is over. Does the fact that he was a TTMall Exclusive mean that there won't be any future revisions or just a 2.0 for this guy?

Just finished transforming him...and I'm a bit confused...

I see the problem with tabbing the small wings into the arms when the shoulders are reversed, but it seems like that can be worked around just by slightly rotating the arms so that the tabs point out away from the body and pressing the wing slot down between the body and the tabs. It's obviously not secure, but I don't see any gaps and it aligns with the body of the plane perfectly. What confuses me is the large back wings don't tab in well to the small wings because of the tiny tab used to secure them together. It looks like that would be the case whether the small wings were tabbed into the arms or not. When I press the wings together, everything lines up and looks beautiful. I think I might try putting some Future on those tabs and see if that helps. I'm coming to the conclusion that the reversed shoulders aren't a big deal...which is a bit of a relief...though I would obviously prefer them to be right in the first place.

 

Yikes... I mean, the whole reason to keep something MISB, for me anyway, would be that the toy inside is perfectly mint! If I had any serious doubt that was the case, the appeal of keeping it would be lessened considerably.

 

I'm about tempted to cancel my preorder and see if BBTS has any at Botcon this weekend. I'd probably have it in hand sooner and save a few dollars on shipping.

Are there common qc issues or just random problems that are popping up? I haven't been keeping up with this thread, sort of surprised to hear.

Still, hearing all this sucks big time. Mine's in transit from Robot Kingdom. I REALLY do not want to try and exchange with them, if mine have issues.  

 

Mine is from RK and I have zero issues. But than again - I don't think that the quality issues depend on the retailer.

Are you talking about ordering MPs in general? Because Ramjet's a TTMall exclusive that HLJ won't get, so you couldn't order a Ramjet from there.
