Ratchet would be an odd choice just based on the customization class; Ratchet isn't very intensive to paint.

I'd be shocked that Hasbro had no intentions of making a seeker combiner. It seems like such an apparent and easy set.

 

That's all the more reason for Ratchet. Usually the custom class figures require paint for certain parts and for details. Ratchet has so many options depending on what version you want to make.

I only like Ravage, but I'm thinking about the others now.

If I ever get Ravage, I'm planning to replacing Ghost Starscream for it for Warriors Unite Galvatronus. Unless I get Combiner Wars Cyclonus and Botcon Tarantulas and Terrorsaur. But I do like Warriors Unite Galvatronus Breakdown and that green Jet.

 

Given the liberties taken with accuracy for other unrelated repaints, Armada Thrust will do for the G1 coneheads. Its not completely accurate of course, but it will do.

 

Keep in mind that UW Armada Thrust doesn't look exactly like Armada Thrust, either. If it was made for him, they wouldn't have given him a mouth. I'm fairly certain he's supposed to be a standard conehead updated.

So Optimus Primal, Rhinox and BW Megatron were around in 2035?

That seems way too early to me unless there's more time travel involved. Megatron shouldn't be called Megatron then.

And what are Ironhide and Prowl doing alive? This is going to be major continuity screw up if that image is official and accurate.

 

I'm sure Ironhide and Prowl are gonna have somehow been revived and end up as Magnaboss with Silverbolt. Descent into Evil already pulled Ironhide from the dead inexplicably anyway.

 

Well we could assume they are following the japanese g1 continuity where they never died.

Though this does have its inaccuracies.

 

Or the Marvel Comics continuity where they never died... or the Dreamwave G1 continuity where they never died...

Story is alright but the illustrations (added below) are what caught my eye. Looks like BW Grimlock out of Springer, BWII Galvatron out of BH Optimus Prime, and Hot Rod from either CW Dead End or CW Blackjack.

Could be nothing, and likely is, but it could be a hint towards the souvenirs for Botcon similar to how Megatron showed up in another Botcon promotion without an official reveal.

 

Rodimus is actually his Takara exclusive Micromaster toy. The one that came with Star Convoy.

 

Looks like they accidentally called Snapper "Spittor" at one point. Both are great little toys so I can understand the mistake.

For some reason I like that BWII Galvatron out of BH Prime.
