The opinions of a bunch of people who choose to argue online over toys are irrelevant.

Its your money- watch a review, choose the pretty toy you want and buy it. Its just that simple.

So now its cool to complain about people giving their opinions about toys on a toy forum?

I've got the first release of all three FT dinobots, the Chrome version of the GP Snarl, and all 3 GCreations dinos as well.

The most impressive toy of them all is the Gigapower Snarl. If the rest of the line is the same quality they will probably be my favorite set.

I plan on keeping all 3 sets and never buying another dinobot again. :)

dont know whether to reply to this thread or not.

i like both companies. the wait is extremely irrelevant to me. i go for what i think is best looking.

    FT:
    Swoop
    Sludge

    Gigapower:
    Snarl
    Slag

Havent seen Gigapower's version of Grimlock so no opinion on which I think is overall better.

Simpler way for someone to decide.

Do you prefer toon or toy look?
Do you prefer large or massive hulk?

Much more variables than that though...

Hmm, very interesting 3 sets, would love to see your collections. I guess other than ft Dino X, I actually would love to collect all the other company's Slag (except tw), and by that I mean GCreations and Gigapower Chrome.

I really like the Toon look but like the Toy details...man oh man!! I love the X versions of FT and the scale but just that little flimpsy of Sever just not pulling me over...

THANK YOU ALL for the input...it is getting more more headache!

So far, It seems that I narrow it down from some of you pointing out that for FT if I do get it. Get the X versions because they fix the QC issues. But just that Sever gap from the bottom and his head in dino mode is just not great of head movement and it looks like a cap.

As for Gp version, will definitely get the Chrome but I haven't seen a Chrome review or pics. Anyone has that? please share.

Anyone have any more feedback on the toys they already own?

These are Chrome / painted and expensive toys, and you want to treat them very carefully of course. I haven't had any trouble really, but you have to know that scoria has a lot of diecast, and those legs will become loose due to the design and diecast. Still my favorite toy I own, it is a jewel.

For sever X, it looks great, but I had to paint the Dino neck myself, and I do wish it had painted red chest vs flat colored red, but he still looks great, and I do really love the Dino mode, and he is much steadier than scoria' legs, but scoria X is my favorite toy still I have ever owned in my life. I kinda wish I could also get the red (g2) Sever, it looks really great too, but man, getting all the X was expensive enough, I am thinking of keeping money for ft Skyfire or GP slag Chrome one day (maybe used if I can't afford new).

You are right that Dino head articulation on sever is low. Can't point down, and pointing up isn't pretty. GP does this better, but I think less side movement. I didn't like the look of the bot mode of GP guttur though, but you may like it.

I would recommend getting a GP Chrome version and an FT X version, and seeing which way you want to go, and either selling the one you like less, or keeping it as a standalone.

I have seen and played with both at a convention, regular guttur and toon sever, and I just didn't like the look / articulation / size of GP Guttur, but I loved Sever. That said, maybe you will like the Chrome version of Guttur.

On the other hand, I would like a Chrome version of GP Grassor (not as replacement to scoria X or my ft X team, but in addition, as I am in love for this ultimate version of the dinos). Thing is though, GP is too big for me in bot mode (good for Dino mode though). Also GP is soooo slow. But they seem they have nice design for their slag and swoop, but not in love with their snarl or sludge...

    Hey guys,
now that I narrow it down to GP version Dinobots. Can someone tell me which version looks better? Metallic or Chrome? I saw someone mentioned here that the Chrome version has the QC issues fix. Does anyone here know what are they?

I am about to pull the trigger and sort of like the metallic one but the chrome does look premium!

Please help break down the two difference. Thanks

It's important to take note with the Guttur Chrome version. It isnt just the Gold areas that have become chrome, the red areas have also become red chrome. Its very very shiney (thats a good thing to me). The whole figure basically has paint/chrome on it

Go with Chrome and get that premium feel. Metallic red and nice Chrome gold!!!! Also, Chrome version of guttur is improved over metallic.

The chrome versions will always be coming out second, so you get the added bonus of QC fixes from their first metallic version. Their Snarl had a few issues fixed up and I haven't seen any complaints about the chrome qc, but i haven't really been looking. Mine was perfect. The deco really pops, like the previous reply said, its not just gold chrome. It is beautiful.

The X versions from FT are really good looking, I am tempted to sell the FT 1st versions I have and go for those instead. One of the issues I have with the FT 1st version set is the color of the chrome and red paint doesn't match between Snarl and Sever/Swoop.

On FT X, the reds are not the same between Scoria X and Sever X still. The Scoria X is painted and some Chrome. The Sever top chest seems more like matte with a bit of sparkly, but not painted like Scoria X, and would have preferred Sever having painted or metallic. Still, I love these the X ;) . You should definetly sell Toon Scoria for at least the Toy version at the very least. I am really loving the X though.

It's too bad GP is doing chrome version after regular, but at same time, gives time to improve on regular version, so that is good.

I am really curious to know how Chrome GP would look like with the FT X group

This is definitely something you should give serious consideration to. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Giga is still releasing there's well into 2018. If you flat out like Giga's better, you probably grin and bear it. If you're on the fence this may be a pretty major minus.

I've brought neither because I don't collect MP!

Anywho, I'm gonna say Giga because the FT stuff bores me. Its not dynamic, its just... Statue-like. Sure, it moves and all, but something about them just seems boring

When you can make me yawn about Slag, one of my favourite characters, you haven't made a good Slag

I screwed up. Before I got any of these, I decided I wanted the X FT versions and the Chrome Giga ones, but this is what I have so far:

I don't normally like chrome very much, but I think Guttur chrome is the nicer version. I've resisted getting him and still have the metallic version, but got to see the chrome figure in person the other day and he really pops. And that's given that I already consider Guttur to be one of the most impressive looking Transformers figures I've seen.
