so is his chest just clear plastic? or purple tinted clear? his hands seem to have a bit of purple tint (but not enough imo).

are the opaque parts pinkish or purple at all in ahnd or just grey? can't tell by the pic. thanks in advance for the asswers....mine is in the mail enroute!

 

Really nice photos as always, however you've sort of put the last nail in the coffin for me regarding the colour, there's no chance your images are washed out surely? He really is that colour, Im learning to live with it but..

It can go either side, the forearm bends both ways. He had his hose underarm (mostly) in the TV show and Comic but there are some instances where it was drawn the other way around. It's nice that TT have given us the option to do either.

 

Not to mention his color is off and he don't have a decepticon symbol.

 

Or rather TCracker has chosen not to apply the Decepticon symbols. They come as a sticker sheet on this release, giving you the option to add them if/where you prefer.

That color.... Does anybody actually like it? Like, really like it? Like, would custom paint it that color if it were different because that's what they think it should be? Because from these picture, while very well done obviously, that color is ridiculous. I really want to get this guy but im finding it hard to pull the trigger which for me, is completely unheard of as mps are always no brainer.

 

Yes. He was depicted in a variety of shades of that color essentially, some darker, some that light. So they appear to have gone with the reference animation model since there's no way to declare any color depicted in the cartoon "definitively accurate" in any authoritative sense.

Looks pretty damned accurate to that in neutral lighting (a touch lighter in brighter light - compare the legs to the part more exposed to light) so... for me personally? Yes. Perfect. Ideal, even. I like cartoon accuracy and I don't see how they could get more accurate without taking the liberty of declaring one particular scene or episode he was depicted in canonically "accurate" over all the others. So instead they appear to have gone with this.

Believe it not, I do actually love the color... assuming that's what it looks like to me in hand when I get him too. It also seems quite sensitive to light though as in gun mode with more of him concealed he looks a touch darker perhaps. But close enough.

That said, I don't think we should make it fact that this, or any picture of Laserwave, is THE correct colour. It changes every time. I think we really won't know what colour Laserwave is until we're holding him, honestly, which is unfortunate for on-the-fence buyers.

My problem with Laserwave thus far is his palette is consistently more reminiscent of Cyclonus to me than Shockwave, well, my perception of him anyway.

Also, Sam, I just wanted to thank you for your advice with customizing Bluestreak. Your advice about painting the sides instead of the hood was genius. Thanks!
